I never finished the anime but I was impressed by Battler's sheer strength of cope to be able to knowingly use a witch's magic to try to disprove witches and magic.

Rosa is beatrice
>Is explicitly female
>Beatrice still exists in the meta world even after being "discovered" which means that she wasn't really discovered after all. Beatrice technically won the game.
>Conveniently out of view when talking to Maria and talking about Beatrice
>Made Maria a schizo like her
>Knox's 1st. It is forbidden for the culprit to be anyone not mentioned in the early part of the story! Which means that "Yasu" cannot ever be the killer as per the rules of the game as they're never mentioned nor shown in full.

Also:
>Rosa is blonde just like Beatrice. Wigs are retarded and are easy to see. 80s wig technology is not possible.
>Rosa has reasons to kill all her family, mainly to do her own things. She does not like Maria in the first place and sees her as an obstacle.

The story lost its smart pants privileges along the way. Reality is unreachable and we should focus on the hype and heart of the story instead, which are good.
Feels like trying to reach the truth results in some very out there theories like this anon did >>49612244

It was me, Barry! I was the one who killed your family and slipped LSD into your blood stream so you blame it all on witches!

Rosa being the culprit had heart though.
I personally believed she was in fact Kinzo's and Beatrice's daughter, and that she had accidentally killed her sister (Kuwadorian Beatrice) and later learned that she was her sister. Crushed by all this and her shit life in general she went on long 'vacations' where she was actually desperately trying to solve the Epitath, which she eventually did. But because of how distrustful she is even if she solved the Epitath she couldn't make use of the gold, so she came up with the plan to wipe out the family. Doing so for Maria's sake also.

Basically, a mix of doing it for money, vengeance, schizoism, and love. Trying to resurrect her sister metaphorically speaking, and masquerading the crime at the same time so that she and Maria could get away with it and live off happily from the gold.
