Remember that July's tournament will be delayed by a week and thus will be held on Friday July 11th.
I won't be able to join you guys next weekend as I'll be in ultra monk stasis mode in prep for the important moon runes exam that weekend, but I'll host July's tourney as usual next Friday.

Please keep this thread up this week in case you guys wanna race again this Friday night, it'd be cool to have an all Clownpiece race or two to celebrate America's birthday lmao.

I feel like streaming on cytube would open up some nice possibilities, like having an audience form people from the board that might be interested in joining or just expectating with all the cheering, memes and shitposting streaming a live event brings.
The anons who get left out on tournaments also get to see the action from the stands at least instead of missing out entirely.
It would also offer a live chat for the people racing since the game lacks that.
But as I said I don't even know the technicalities of streaming and idek if my interent is good enough to host it reliably, but if anyone is willing to try it out and everyone else agrees then I'd be totally okay with it

I can't tell if the board is healing in any way that matters or not or if others are just trying to keep together what they still have here, sometimes the board has felt a little more ghost town-y than normal but other times it just seems like anons are congregating elsewhere far more linearly in some isolated threads of higher quality.
Some threads really are still decent but others just tell me it might be time to take the site behind the woodshed for good, as depressing as that is.

I missed this thread. Haven't been checking in often. Eventually, I'll get last tourney's image done, after I'm done coloring a different one I'm working on.

I shall. It shouldn't take that long but I could start the nue/seija one I have roughly sketched out during then. The last hangup I got through was trying to make the coloring look good in their respective sections and get masks to fit the lines correctly. In doing so I discovered krita had a colorize mask tool which would've made prior skydrift images significantly less of a pain in the ass to color, but go figure I decided to use watercolors which dont work well with that tool. Either way, it'll get there.

Godspeed then, Krita gave me some trouble with some of its more specific tools at first as well (partially why I've been messing around in paint-adjacent programs a lot lately) but sounds like you just got past a pretty significant hurdle.

i was thinking that for the new tournament format, we could give each participant a number and we use a program to randomly select the numbers to see who is racing, each participant can be picked up to 5 times and best 7 qualify for the championship, what do you guys think?

part 1:
whoever wants to participate has to write down his name and we give them a random number:
cirno 1
reimu 2
seija 3
tenshi 4
....
....
nue 14.
then we randomly pick seven numbers, make them have a race and give them points based on their performance, we do this 5(maybe more?) times. this will be the qualifiers
part 2:
once everyone have played at least 5 times, we check who are the 7 racists with the most points and they will pass into the final stage which is how the tournament usually plays.

this is just a basic idea, but i think this way everyone will get to play and we have a bit of luck involved

But I'm thinking it'd have to be done the day before the tourney since the tournament itself is already time consuming (especially now with 12 rounds). We'll have to rely on people actually showing up to both events.

Why dont some of you who go to kissu spread the word there to bring some more ppl in the first place
