In Elona, I used astral pen on Oxode (lvl 40) and she only has head slot. I am trying to give her more bodyparts with Derphy's slaves but she gets nothing. Why?

There's no time limit but making money and paying taxes can be a bitch for new players. When you get sent to Mysilia to pay taxes, earn I think 2 or 3 influence by doing quests there and/or investing in cheap low-level shops, you can go to the local secretary to buy furniture tickets with influence and then spend those furniture tickets on the tax box to then pay taxes from home using your own tax box. You can also auto-pay taxes from your bank account once your hearth levels up but as a new player that might take some time.

So in elona (custom gx) I am starting to have too many pets. I am level 60 and can solo pretty much any nefia but with my pets I have to be careful and not get into fights that have enemies past lvl 70. Stuff like an ancient lich kills most of my pets for instance.
Well, in general my experience so far is "We/I are invincible" or "BLAM fuck i am dead" which I guess is the nature of the game. I am not encountering enemies that take chunks of my health, just the random doggod that does kinniku buster or some crazy jump and splatters me into the ground.
I don't even know what I am asking, how many pets do you usually have in your party? I have a littler girl that I want to turn into a witch, golden knight, valkirie, unicorn, master lich, Oxode the bee hottie, baby fire dragon and just now I got the fallen angel. Pretty much everyone is lvl 40...

So did melee ever get buffed? I last played in January and put maybe 60 hours in before hitting some heavy burnout and taking a break. I didn't really get too far either because I spent a lot of my time restarting while testing out custom classes/races I was fiddling with.

, it's fine, arguably even better at the extreme high levels because the player can't get rapid magic, but still excellent at DL 200, 1000, etc.

The efficiency floor is lower than magic, but the ceiling is higher. The things to remember are:

-Don't play this like a wizard, only with the yellow bar. There are only 2 special actions and both are emergency use only. Your abilities come from your weapon enchantments that change how your bump attacks work. While others bitch and whine about bladestorm and swarm costing stamina, you can be throwing out flurry, shockwave and cleave for free.

-Following from the above, keep multiple weapons on you and swap as needed. I have 3-4 claymores/katanas on me for frustration/cleave etc, a marinara for reach attack, and a lightsaber for high pv targets. Having only one weapon is like a wizard having only one spell.

-You are the gear dependent archetype. Wizards can stack spell power and mana efficiency and call it a day. You actually have to know how your enchants work, what synergises and what doesn't (e.g. Don't use true sight and frustration together, because you want to miss with frustration).

-Dim is your friend, it not only messes enemy accuracy and spells, but gives a 25% to hit and crit that ignores the hit roll. This and other ways to avoid the hit roll entirely are necessary for multihand chaos shapes.

There's a bunch more, like going into antimagic gear and building your equipment with runes, but those are the basics.

If there's one thing to take away, it's a genuinely different playstyle with different focus than wizards; wanting to play a stamina bar caster like a bunch of the anons above is going to lead to disappointment. Because of the gear dependence, a lot of preparation happens before you even set off, and when you do meet the enemy it's a matter of picking the right weapon and style and unga bungaing with souped up autoattacks.

In a vacuum it already doesnt do much, just drops and dreams, not having enough spell stock is a early game problem, you also split the levels on all those spells.
Imagine a warrior that trains all the weapons a little bit.
Now if you compare that to farmers insane stamina cost reduction or executioner easily doubling your EHP with mana body.
Access to darkness, sound and chaos to get the good stuff isnt limited, you are only swamping yourself with trash elemental spells, which all the peasants get anyways.

The big problem with debuffer pets is they waste their time and MP debuffing enemies that they could have easily killed. Also insult just isn't that good of a dim source when it can come stapled directly onto your damage. It frequently gets resisted, does not level any of her skills, and I'm pretty sure it consumes MP as well. The most useful function of insult is you can passively have your regeneration trained by being insulted by your pet. It's almost a liability in combat.

You will eventually get more than enough spells anyway and other classes are offer something useful long term.
Sword Sage for example has a massive damage buff when casting spells via talismans and actually feels like a battle mage when you hit AND cast rather than hit OR cast (even though you can do both).
Executioner can be used as a muscle wizard with any magic race.
IMO, a warmage should at least have cut domain (and be the only specialized caster with that domain).

If you could learn feats from other classes late in the game, then a warmage would be a great starting option for the stats and skills alone.

It completes itself while alt-tabbed, so I can't really call it gameplay. You do need to go for a very long time before you stop being murdered mid-performance though.

I've heard it generally sucks but I'd be curious to see it for myself, I had a PV/DV tank character before that was proccing greater evasion against enemies I wouldn't expect. Getting multiple weapon abilities on a weapon can fuck, I actually found a claymore that came with both miss-crit and cleave damage which I added flurry on top of, pretty amazing weapon.
For evasion consider getting a source of bane/blind/dim to maximize your chances of dodging stat-inflated endgame powerhouses.

They are ok, but you need to know what you're doing; it's not pick up and slap like two hand is. You generally want some way to pump up your ability to hit to overcome the accuracy penalty.

Defensively, you need a fallback plan because all those funny things you can get, enemies can too. E.g. Ungaga is made to rape dexfags with his innate frustration, flurry and boost aside from anything his weapon gives him. All defensive strategies need fallbacks.
