>>49684415The main issue is he does a lot of begging the question and opinion sharing. I get it was a blog post for his own personal desire to write it for himself to share but he probably maybe didn't expect it to blow up. Had it been coming from a much more neutral stance detailing the violations and hyposcrisy and having a call to action, I think it would've had a much better chance of standing the winds of the internet and fanbase. He is a bitch for not leaving it up and issuing a followup post. But technically speaking, there's a lot of stuff he pieced together from discussions online people pointed out, here and elsewhere when the controversy first hit, anyone could've probably made an article like the one he collated if they took the time.
>>49684833That's what I did. There's no point in asking for the fandom to do better, some people are plain blind in light of what they love, and I am unlikely to be making any poignant points others haven't already made. If ZUN isn't going to care about his games and legacy to the extent he will go back and fix stuff or release it, then why should I take the effort to make the point online and do that work for him? Taking your ball and leaving in a fandom is the only way to go, any other way even burning bridges is way too much effort emotionally for what you would be abandoning.
