I know that, at least for the LEDCOG, you can mount a t2 on top, so its not an issue of being able to mount it either

The elcan exists. Top dots on prisms are a thing. If your poor you go primary arms 5x with ther heromod top dot. Im not a huge lpvo fan but you can get cheap second focal plane 1-6’s very affordably. Also there are magnifiers for red dots that work great when its not raining. Why add crazy offsets and have more shit hanging off your gun than needed?

Side attacking the acog seems pretty dumb since that has farther reach than the red dot and having a shitty cheek weld/canting would be a bigger issue with an acog than with a red dot just based on the fact that with an acog red dot combo you are only shooting out to what, 50 yards, maybe 100 yard with the red dot

Just learn to shoot with both eyes open. The Acog is a great optic, I shoot at 10-300 yards easily with mine and have no trouble with the closer targets at all
