It is. The Elephant was original named the Ferdinand after Ferdinand Porsche because it was built on the chasses left over from his company's failed Tiger I bid, the electric motors used strategic materials in high demand with the U-boat service, and Porsche had been enamored by petrol-electric drive trains ever since he invented them in 1898 and he had preemptively built 100 examples of his Tiger I prototype at his company's own expense because he thought his bid was a done deal given the obvious advantages of a hybrid drive train (please ignore its size, complexity, frequent breakdowns, overheating, garbage power-to-weight ratio, and use of one ton of copper per vehicle).

most tank commanders during WW2 preferred to be hatch open unless being artyed. the increased visibility was deemed more important than mildly increasing survivability

Kards. The national themes are neat, the archetypal Japanese deck relies on rushing early on and sacrificing economy growth, Brits are generally very defensive and Order (spells) dependant, US is slow but can boost their economy at an insane rate, Germany needs setup for their tanks but done right can deliver a knockout punch in a single turn and the Soviets hit above their weight but often have to sacrifice their own health. Even the minor nations like France, Italy, Poland and Finland have their own themes, although they can only be taken as ally nations

Even after the war, tank crews preferred to lean out and look directly at the target, so the periscope sight must have had a lot of problems.

Sounds pretty fun, how long does a game take?
Anonymous No.63817653 [Report] >>63821642
>>63817426
Usually around 10 minutes, although you'll get outliers either way. A Jap/German rush deck is probably going to either win or concede within the first 5 turns unless it's down to the wire, while a Brit might drag the game on for 20-30 minutes as he manages his orders.
