The Arab population isn't increasing, their fertility has fallen under the Jewish one and they aren't projected to increase but rather decrease as Israel becomes increasingly Jewish.
The westerners talking about others needing to "correct the course" of others (as if they could attack a nuclear power, which they can't) when they won't even exist demographically soon is laughable.

Haredim used to work for centuries in Europe before welfare was a thing. A majority of Haredim in USA work (and varies by location, i.e. some communities are relatively prosperous i.e. Lakewood which is a rich, well off Haredi area in New Jersey, which can be contrasted with say, Brooklyn).
There is nothing that 'inherently' prevents them from working, but it's enabled by the system in Israel currently. Take away that system, they will have no choice but to work or starve. The amount working and integrating into the economy in Israel is increasing though (i.e. RN 89 percent of young Haredi women work).
It is unlikely they will be able to retain their currently privileges for much longer.
