>see ladder sights
>think they look kino
>know I will hate them because I don't like buckhorns and already seethe when the eye relief on my peep sight is longer than the eye relief on an AR peep sight
>my only lever gun is a .22 and the rimfire range caps at maybe 61 yards at the absolute farthest meaning there is no reason for me to have adjustable sights at all
Like the only justification for it would be if I wanted to shoot paper at 100+ yards and if I want to do that I have an AR with nicer sights.

I don't understand. I fucking hate buckhorns but ladder and tang sights are great IMHO.

>the rimfire range
there's only one? you can't go shoot elsewhere or innawoods?

I can understand blocking Centerfire on a Rimfire range, but what stops you from taking your lever action .22 to the Centerfire ranges?

I think it will block too much of the target and annoy me. I use a peep with a 6 o clock hold when I shoot irons. though I guess if I 6 o clock with a ladder sight I won't have the issue where the top of the peep is too low

jew jersey so no inna woods. the indoor range I've gone to on occasion caps out at 25 yards and if I use it on the center fire range the I can only shoot paper (there might be some gongs at 100 yards) and the stands can only go at 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards and 50 meters so I'd just be shooting paper off hand or kneeling at 100 yards. google says .22lr out of a 20 inch barrel drops like 30+ inches at 200 yards

So find out for yourself. Go shoot .22 at 200 yards and see where you have to aim to correct that. That's what ladder sights are for. It's so you can lob a chunk of lead in a parabolic arc and still hit something at the end of it. Or, and this might have never crossed your mind, explain to the RSO what you want to do and see if he'd let you set up at 150 yards.
>but the only thing I could do is punch paper
Is it a challenge to shoot paper at 100+ yards with an AR? Or would you enjoy getting good at doing it with something that's much harder? I could ring steel at 100 all day with an AR but it's more fun to do it with a .44 revolver standing up.

they won't do that where I shoot. I'd have to be standing 50 yards in front of the benches.

If I want to do that I could go to the 300 yard range

Fun things are fun; you don't have to "justify" how you enjoy your hobby. If it bothers you so much just put the ladder sight close to your eye.

I wouldn't want a bolt anyway because bolt actions were invented by fags for fags, but the pic from op looks cool

See if they'll let you set up a pair of target stands at 150 yards.
