Anyone here trained with the IDF. What were they like? Pros and cons etc.?

Their ground forces are pretty mediocre and on the level of like a Eastern European country. Their AF/intelligence/drone capabilities are overwhelmingly powerful. The two sort of balance each other out.

Yes. Like all conscripts, they're near fucking useless. Whiny short timers that don't want to do all the back end stuff that makes the fighting more effective. Their NCO corps is also weirdly toxic with like a billion levels of "master sergeant" that don't do anything other that try and seem important. Generally, I was left with a mediocre impression of them. Compared to the South Korean conscripts I've worked with, the Israelis were drastically less productive.

They're also all arrogant as shit towards civilians and comically racist towards Palestinians in a way that make them absolutely poisonous to any sort of counter-insurgency operation.

Didn't train with but dealt with them on the Syrian border. Assholes wouldn't let me take my can of monster across the border cause it had some arabic writing on the back like every other fucking can.
Anyway, some are very professional, other are really clearly not.

They're mediocre-to-competent at small unit tactics but acted like they were god's gift to CQB just because they've shot a couple Palestinian kids throwing rocks at them back home. The instant we (army infantry) played OPFOR against them, we were absolutely piecing them the fuck up.

They also 100% try to swindle the FUCK out of you with patch/souvenir trades. Fucking jews.

The only sub we ever found on deployment was an Israeli one. Their navy is notoriously bad by Western standards, although not as bad as some other Sand People Ba'al Worshipping States like KSA.

I will admit though, their costal patrol was 100% effective on 7 Oct, so props for that I guess. Definitely would not have bet on the navy performing best against Hamas kek.
