This is kinda cool, why didn't it work out? Seems like an inverse loyal wingman concept, almost like a battletech squad strat. Send out a bunch of jets with the most powerful radar you can cram onto a plane with fuckoff speed as spotters, have the missile boat in the back spamming a missile swarm, or much larger missiles with better range and bigger payloads. Is it just that you can't get a big enough radar to build a worthwhile spotter, or is it that scaling up a missile doesn't result in a meaningful increase in range/speed/etc?
