Absolutely wild how split people are between these two games. They're actually pretty different despite how similar they look at first glance. I'm team WARNO all the way because I like managing a divisional sized force and don't always mind the painful nature of the RNG. I may give Broken Arrow a try after Russia capitulates and I can ethically justify the spend. I also prefer ranked 1v1 and the idea of being forced to match with retards every single round is offputting.

Armored Brigade 2 killed wargaming for me, no AirLand Battle will ever compare. I might give Broken Arrow a chance if they add new gamemode that shifts from micro hell to platoon level command and realisticly requips infantry.

Eugen is this French game developer but they really only make one series

well they are lazy and have a french bias on units but otherwise they made a really good game that was widely acclaimed

it started with Wargame European Escalation with no planes
then Wargame Airland battle added planes
then Wargame Red dragon added naval
then Warno dropped naval but greatly improved game quality

so Warno just came out last year its pretty good but there are some competitors (finally, competition is good Afterall)
including regiments by microprose
and now Broken Arrow which was some offshoot devs from idk where
But now is a great time for wargaming, it is extremely frustrating but that is how you know the challenge is good

also wargaming should be done by everyone in military because it helps people identify units, now i know the difference between a BMP and a BMD and why

there is some single player campaigns that each have or whatever but it really about the multiplayer

Ive already got 30 hours in BA, its got a russian bias, but mostly because it tries to eliminate RNG. So every homing missile works 100% of the time unless there are serious factors impeding it like active countermeasures or hard-kill systems, tank APS works 100% of the time and against all incoming munitions that are theoretically disruptable, and stealth affects detection range, but not how accurately you can engage a unit once you do see it. This benefits russia much more than the US, because it makes the rinky dink atgm on every APC just as good as a hellfire, it gives the F-22 and the SU-37 pretty even odds in a missile brawl, and more russian tanks are equipped with the now-perfect APS, and said APS matters much more than armor thickness because missiles are a more common incoming projectile than kinetic weapons for both teams given theyre much longer range and faster firing in most cases… so an APS T-72 beats a SEP V3 Abrams with the APS removed, because the first shot either one takes is gonne be a hellfire-sized warhead the T-72 intercepts and the Abrams (realistically) takes serious damage eating.
I will give them credit: they actually gave us AMERICAN wunderwaffe as well this time. The best combat helo in the game is the Comanche by a MILE thanks to its stealth, and America also gets the bin laden raid blackhawk as an incredibly cheap stealth transport. For reference, the average aircraft has a stealth rating of one, small drones have a stealth rating of 1.25, the SU-57 has a stealth rating of 1.5, And both the Comanche and the Bin Laden Blackhawk have stealth ratings of 2.5. The stealth rating is literally just division on the range which the unit can be detected so that is ridiculously superior stats to the stealthiest Russian aircraft. The US is also the only faction to get a stealth bomber or stealth recon drone, all US stealth craft are stealthier than the stealthiest Russian craft SU-57, (1.5) including the obsolete F117 (1.75).

Even his death was ludicrous: He convinced Roosevelt's son to let him joyride a P-38 and disappeared over the Ruhr Valley.
