No gun needed as its just some extra weight making it hard to toss the turret high enough for a new record?

More and more, these begin to resemble those warning structures built atop radioactive dumping sites.

Russia is going to rebuild and rearm as soon as the country gets a chance to do so. Better to pre-empt that, than to be late to react, like with the 2022 invasion.

You guys think that this is one of the last T-62s with a decent (read as 80-100% working) enough body, or did they have to scrounge through dozens of T-62s in order to get just this single one working again?

I forget where I read it, but when Russia offical decommissioned the T62 back in the early 2010s they were only operating around 90-110 of them. Russia has now lost more than double that. So you can at least assume around 100 of the 250+ lost were complete and ready. Everything since probably required some level of cannibalization or digging through warehouses to get them going. It's definitely not the end of these tanks yet by a long shot, but you won't see a surge of them in the loss data like we saw in 2024 ever again
