If this sort of thing is interesting to you then I would strongly recommend giving Vincent di maio's practical aspects of gunshot wounds a read. 2nd edition can usually be found for free on the internet. Lots of interesting info from a real pathologist, very NSFW as youd imagine.

Well, German is probably pretty far up on the fuck you scale of languages due to our compound nouns, grammar etc., but OTOH if you know English and a Latin-derived language you've got a 25% or so headstart in German. The Euro languages all boorrow a lot from each other.
