China has much more serious military capabilities because unlike the others, it's an industrial manufacturing superpower with money.
They know they're behind and they build and upgrade every day, launch new ships every day, and so on. I would not put China in the same category as Russia. And forget Iran.

One thing to remember is that the Chinks have a superiority complex (they're not like Russians who have an inferiority complex) and their friends getting BTFO'd doesn't necessarily shake them. They can be quite brutal really and are more likely to call them idiots, and Iran is also a religious theocracy which doesn't down go well with these dialectical-materialist party atheists in China.

Chinks are overall less Baghdad Bob about stuff. They're hypocritical when something crosses their bottom line but they tend to take a scientific approach to these things and they want to imitate the U.S. (which does make them smarter and better than other thirdies):

I linked a video of their coverage of the attack on the military affairs channel, but one thing you'll notice is that they're not posting A.I. slop about downed Israeli F-35s but are going into the technical capabilities of the B-2 and the MOP. I'm sure there's all kinds of comically stupid stuff in the Chinese military but I think the CCP does believe in the concept of objective truth as a thing which derives from their irreligious rationalist-materialist outlook on the world.

The basic problem with the Arabs and Iranians and why they lose wars to more advanced, industrialized countries is they never had an Enlightenment. (Turkey is better because they did.) I'm not trying to make this into an anti-religious screed but science and technology requires a different outlook from thinking the world is flat. It's like believing in Q-Anon or something. As for you question I believe that China is in fact a paper tiger. Altough much much more dangerous due to the sheer numbers.
What makes me not believe in their capabilities? Three things.
a) Total lack of experience in waging any war in last decades. They don't even have some experience of the real thing from peace keepingn missions. War is when most of the plans go out of the window and previous experience tremedously elps resolve problems in a timely manner.
b) General overconfidence of their military cadre inevitably leading to poor decisions. Especially in tamdem with previous point.
c) History. Chinks were always poor at war. Absolute majority of conflicts in their history were internal ones. When facing external enemy they always lost even when they had all the advantages of numbers and hardware.

Russia is a broke shithole with a tiny population, no modern factories, and is 90% frozen wasteland.
Iran is basically the same, but sand version.

China is extremely rich, with a massive population, huge amounts of useful land and natural resources, literally all of the worlds modern factories and production power, massive amounts of technical knowledge, and the fastest prototyping/blueprint-to-product turnaround rates in human history.

They aren't even remotely comparable.

Large amounts of "good enough" equipment and men with "good enough" training vs limited amounts of latest cutting edge technologies and thoroughly researched doctrine. China is a different matter in that it actually has a noteworthy industrial capacity. Should it ever come down to actually fighting them, underestimating them is only going to increase the risk of not being adequately prepared.

I mean it is theoretically depending on if the F35 is brazen or not, the problem is Iran is huge and retarded, Iran is just too big and has too many mountains for the amount of launchers it has and doesn't have nearly enough radar and missile coverage to deter flights over the country.
A small number can easily be overwhelmed by decoys, outranged by AWACS or just spotted at range by sats when active by what has been a years long assault on the network. With the lack foliage in Iran and the sparse housing outside of the main cities, meaning if they're in useful locations they are also extremely vulnerable.

They have no value without numbers or the surrounding counter counter systems that a nation should have to fill in the risk gaps.
Other than sheer lack of launchers making their effectiveness low, the main issue is the radars just suck per kW as they do not use radar wave forming and the sensors for detection haven't been updated since the 1990's.

They would have deterrence value if Iran actually had complimentary air radar emitters and the ability to use other radars for a lock.

I've seen people compare China to WW2 US. But China is surrounded by multiple US bases and allies. Their ports, shipyards, and factories will not remain untouched unlike the US industrial base in WW2. They import most of the raw materials and energy to keep their factories running. They need to keep the malacca straits open and protect coming from the middle east and africa to China. Belt and road is nowhere close to being an alternative and even if it was, overland shipping is significantly more expensive.
