>>63927388an annexation of gaza would of course be an act of imperialism, but that's not the only place where palestinians have been displaced from their homes, after living there for multiple generations.
there are tons of israeli settlements just built over old palestinian ones, to prevent them from ever returning from their homes.
displacing the israelis who live there now would be another wrongdoing, considering that they often did not move there for ideological reasons, and some settlements have existed long enough, that there are now israeli adults who were born and grew up there.
that's by design, and the more radical pro-settlement people in israel are very explicit about that.
those are usually the people telling you, that there was nothing but desert, when israel was founded.
you could consider the foundation of israel and the arab-israeli war an act of imperialism, as they took the land, including homes and, for example, hundreds of years old olive trees, from the people who have just as much of a claim to living there as the israelis do.
someone pedantic might bring up, that palestine was a british colony until israel was founded, and that it was never truly the land of the palestinians, but i really don't see why that would sway anyone but a law autist.
