Okay so what if Washbear, but you print it up in Nerf colors and put a Nerf logo on the sides and an orange barellette on the front?

I saw the news reel, the glock pistol is just inserted into the nerf frame, the frame itself is just a bunch of extra weight.

Same here, looks like a shotgun stuffed inside a gutted out watergun.

Whereas the washbear has the stylistic look of a nerf gun and needs only be constructed of ABS and Nylon of the right colors

>where are you going with this?
There are many places where people wouldn't look twice at a nerf gun but it is very illegal to have a pistol.

okay? you do realize the cops will still take it, right? if your door gets busted down, the cops are gonna turn your entire house
its a common tactic in places like australia to make a gun look like a toy, meth sheds are raided all the time there & they're found

if you're gonna actually make one, don't fucking fedpost & get yourself caught, like you're doing right now

If one needed to use a gun in an area with strict laws, I would not walk around brandishing anything, much less a nerf gun as an adult. Cops are trigger happy and if they see/ get calls about a dude walking around with a nerf gun you will get ventilated.

If you need to use a gun brandishing it beforehand is never a good idea. There are essentially no scenarios where your idea would be of much benefit. Not to mention different colors of filament for 3d printers cost more, and also often have different properties from one another.

If it's made to look like a toy you might catch a charge depending on who sees it, and it might stick depending on your state and lawyer. Doesn't stop some people from doing it. The politicians are further worried about 3dp guns because people tend to make them in bright colors, Michigan tried to ban guns that were non standard colors but it didn't get much traction.

A disguised gun is an "any other weapon" under the nfa, marking requirements for toy guns are clearly defined in law and making a real gun that meets them is a pretty obvious violation. All gun laws are infringements, but it's really more of a toy gun law, and thumbing your nose at something that actually does protect kids is an asshole move.

Probably the most worrisome one out there given that it's semi-auto and almost 100% printed.
The Ryno PIP revolver might be more concerning once it's out of beta though.

I've wondered if the lack of centerfire mostly printed guns is from actual critical failures or just peoples hesitation to make and or release them. The latest songbird version claims to handle them well with a compressible buffer behind the case head. I'm curious how well that works and if it could be adapted to a revolver. Blc has also been working on a centerfire revolver, but there hasn't been too much info on it in the last four years.

Plastic as is couldn't take it, even with pipe chambers, the top strap would break the first time you shot. Reinforced with metal plates and threaded rod, maybe.

Retard noguns. Try shooting a stocked pistols or pistol caliber carbine and then a regular pistol and report back. Stocked pistols have existed for a long time for good reasons.

>perfectly reasonable to have a Nerf gun at (place), but no real gun
Anywhere where youโ€™re expecting Nerf guns you are also expecting kids to pick up those guns and shoot each other with them. The dumbest thing you could do is build a real gun that looks like a Nerf gun and take it there. Even if that gun lives in your bag, kids get in to stuff they shouldnโ€™t and play with it all the time, thatโ€™s why we have poison control centers that know exactly what to do when someone ingests drain cleaner.

Unless it lives in your safe and only gets let out for short range trips you could reasonably be charged with something like:
Public endangerment
Child endangerment most likely
Child neglect if there are kids present with access to your gun (but that goes for any gun)
Depends on what youโ€™re doing and if someone feels they need to call the cops on you and if kids are in the area.

Making your own guns has always been legal (at least in the US) as long as you can legally own a gun. Just because we have better tools it doesnโ€™t mean that itโ€™s illegal. If it was illegal then the very public websites that sell you kits to finish out your printed guns wouldnโ€™t exist.

The real concern is that the cops who jump at shadows and live every moment in fear for their saftey (the most important thing in our society, nay reality) will start to expect even brightly colored pieces of plastic to be lethal weapons in the hands of eight year olds. Getting cops to shoot less innocent people is something we should all be able to get behind, the courts won't do anything about it but we can refrain from making guns look like toys for upvotes. Those of us that aren't r*dditors anyway.

nsa does this stuff not cia
and its not like they ARE ALWAYS WATCHING
its the MIGHT BE watching at any time so the only safe assumption is that they are. Act as tho you are being surveilled if you have an electronic device of any sort in proximity. Alexa is listening, the question is if anyone is listening to alexa.

We know for example that hardware mics listen for marketing data, start mentioning product names near you smart TV, watch as ads for those products appear.
The corporations collect that data and feed it to llms to target marketing.

We also know all those big international media/marketing corps are entirely too cozy with the spooks and sell them data
Put 2 and 2 together anon what do you get?
you get a spiderweb of mics and cameras that the government has access to if it wants. The only question is, are you in particular imporant enough for anyone to be paying attention to and has the amount of available AI time yet become available to analyze the data on you that has assuredly been collected and archived in the huge fuckoff data centers the glows keep building out west.

Assuming you have privacy is how they catch you with your pants down anon, but it also means you have the option of staring into the camera while jerking off and making some glow nigger watch you bust a nut with eye contact.

>CA PC 17360(b) It was not originally designed to be a firearm

And a "reasonable person" would be expected to paint over the orange, but otherwise, most places it's probably a legal privately made firearm.
