Unless you live in a hick town OC will get the cops called on your ass. Legally, it maybe be fine in your area, but if you open carry near a school or church or some kind of crowded public place (mall, sporting venue, restaurant, grocery store) you will draw a lot of negative attention.

I live in Indiana. Outside of Indianapolis itself, you go to just about any store and you're liable to see boomers walking around with 1911s on their hip. We also have constitutional carry, so you don't need a license.
