>357 lever actions can fire 9mm rounds

... why didn't anyone tell me? Is there any practical application for this? Other than autism bragging?

You can't fit a 9mm cartridge into a chamber cut for 357 Mag.

9mm bullets are generally .355 and 38/357 are .356. 9mm case dimensions are extremely similar to 38/357 aside from COL, the primary difference is the lack of a rim. Anything rated for 357 can easily handle the pressure of even the spiciest 9.

Look at the base of a 9mm case.
Even the most generous, sloppy 357 chambers isn't going to clear an extra .005" diameter.
There's an added bonus too where regular 357 cartidges would swell ahead of the webbing quite a bit.

It can't, it can fire 9mm PROJECTILES but it would need to be loaded in a .38/.357 case. Even then you might run in to accuracy/velocity issues.

There really isn't an accuracy problem because the bores of every single .357 firearm follow 9mm bore dimensions.
.355-.356 grooves and .346-.347 lands.
Many get confused about what 357 actually is, the projectiles intended for 38/357 are a true .357, but the bore is 9mm.

no, the case gets stuck here due to the greater taper of the 9mm case
luckily, the extractor was able to pull it out, it was a little bit stuck

Right. So it can't. Glad we sorted that. You can load .357 cases with 9mm bullets.

No, the shape of the casing wont work for a 357mag lever gun. What will work, is 9mm in a single action 357mag revolver. Fyi a 9mm lever gun was released within the past year. I think taylors made it.
