To counter the Asiatic horde; create a European Army from the populations of Baltoids and Pooland but technically it won't be their Army they will only be used for meat. Put the French, Austrians, Italians, and other west euros (excluding Micks) in charge of that Army. Czech, slovaks and the few aligned balkan states can maintain their own armies independently.

That being said, many families (mine included) were poor and soldiering is a path to upward socioeconomic mobility as old as time. My uncle joined the Army for this reason (and because he's a meathead also), and we've never looked down on it as a career choice. Besides, it's a good way to repay the country for taking us in

The 45th is still administratively part of the 10th Panzer division even though its going to be a permanently forward deployed formation. We had something similar going on during the Cold War (picrel) where one of 2nd Armored Division's brigades was permanently stationed in Germany under III Corps while the rest of the division was in Texas, which was odd to the point where they didn't even call it 3rd Brigade but "2nd Armored Division (Forward)".

It's called that because the term 'general staff' was considered too associated with the World Wars, and without a Generalstab there couldn't be a Chef des Generalstabes. So instead they went with the term "Inspektor" which had been previously used for the Wehrmacht's branch chiefs (i.e. "Generalinspekteur der Panzertruppen", "Inspekteur der Jagdflieger", etc.)
It's literally just because 'general staff' scared the hos.

kek. why's a mere one-star general commanding all US Army forces in Northern Germany? seems underpaid, overworked and outranked by all other NATO forces commanders.
>The brigadier general in charge of 2nd Armored Division (Forward) had a unique command. In addition to command of the heavy brigade, he also functioned as the Commander, III Corps (Forward), headquartered in Maastricht, Netherlands, and as commander of all US Army forces in Northern Germany, including the military communities of Garlstedt and Bremerhaven. In the event of the deployment of III Corps and/or the 2nd Armored Division from the United States, the division commander would revert to his job as assistant division commander for operations of 2nd Armored Division. This contingency was practised during REFORGER exercises in 1980 and 1987. Brigadier generals who held the position included James E. Armstrong, George R. Stotser, Thomas H. Tait, William F. Streeter, John C. Heldstab, and Jerry R. Rutherford.

He's Asian. They age in sudden and dramatic stages. It's not an even and continuous process like it is for Caucasians.
When he hits the age of 55, he'll seemingly age 20 years overnight and look like he's >75.
Same goes for Asian women, give or take 5 years.

Similarly, East-Slavic and Latina women both look like they're in their 20s until they hit about 45, at which point they suddenly age 30 years overnight and look geriatric.

Nah, in my experience the Crayon munchers are pretty cool. Despite being profoundly retarded, they have by far the best and most self aware sense of humor of any US military branch.
I just wish they weren't the kind of guys that would also throw puppies from the cliffs of Afghanistan, brutally rape 12 year old Okinawan girls, etc

Not that simple, Guderian had a black uniform which he still wore. I'm not sure if one is a a dress ufirom or there are special rules when to where which but we have pictures of him wearing both even late war.

>waffen-ss had a tank force
Sure but that doesn't mean it is fitting for Freuding, especially because he already was a tank general.
The skulls in anon's edit certainly don't mean anything.

Guderian was a 3-star generaloberst, hence the regular green army officers uniform and the standard red/yellow officers collar tabs.
Doctor Freuding is a 2-star generalmajor, which at least as far as I can gather, would be the last rank to still wear the black panzer uniform with the totenkops collar tabs.
So as far as I can tell, >>63932528 is correct.

Because III Corps consisted of REFORGER units that were based in the CONUS. III Corps was the only American unit assigned to NORTHAG and 2nd Armored Division (Forward) was the only part of the corps permanently stationed in Europe, so the brigade commander as triple-hatted as the commander of the corps' forward headquarters and the administrative head of the US Army in Northern Germany.
The bulk of the US Army in Germany (V and VII Corps) was assigned to CENTAG in the south.

sure, but i expect that brigadier general in charge of 2nd Armored Division (Forward) to be more familiar with defending Germany than any CONUS general of the III Corps.
CONUS generals didn't even deploy most of the time during Reforger.
i'm calling this command structure suboptimal.

i couldn't confirm if 45th Panzer Brigade really works similar. however i found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estonian_Division
>British Army forces stationed in Estonia support the Estonian Division. A British brigade is held at high readiness to deploy to Estonia. During deployments the brigade would form part of the Estonian Division.[8]
i would suggest 45th Panzer Brigade does the same.

III Corps was part of our strategic reserve during the Cold War, so we weren't going to station it outside of the CONUS. The arrangement wasn't the best, I agree, but it at least meant there was an American general officer and a skeleton corps HQ in Northern Germany full-time, allowing for a degree of integration with NORTHAG's command structure and hopefully making a rapid redeployment during wartime run more smoothly (and the brigade being organized more like a pocket division meant it could have engaged in combat before the rest of its division and the corps showed up, just in case WW3 began with a 'Task Force Smith' situation)

Actually, looking at the TO&E from >>63934741
and the TO&Es for V and VII Corps, it looks like the two brigades/one brigade combat team arrangement was standard for divisions that were split up between CONUS and overseas garrisons.
