Border Patrol is my favorite fed LE that I’ve worked with during my time in the military. They are also historically very /k/ (Charles Askins, Bill Jordan). I highly recommend BP.

I heard 1/3 of BP is in some type of reserve unit. Of all the Fed LE agencies, they seem to be the most similar to the military. If you like outdoors, BP would probably be the better choice.

I have an old platoon buddy that's in BORTAC right now and he's constantly sending me snaps of them lobbing tear gas and arresting people in the riots in california for the last weeks. He just snapped me a picture of boxes of tear gas grenades saying he's going to LA. He loves his job.

He started out as a regular border agent and went BORTAC and went to train on ATV's and doing solo patrols along the san diego border and now he's training boarding ships with the coast guard and shit. You can have a lot more fun in border patrol than ICE, that's for sure.

The "they don't identify" shit is from people in super blue cities and states that have laws where police have to give you their SSN and tell you about their first sexual experience if they are within 150yds of you. Hence they spazz out when feds tell them to fuck off.

You'll also notice they never arrest people and instead detain them which means they don't even really have to tell the person being detained anything.

I live on the US/CA border, it seems like the Border Control has the most relaxing job desu. You'd think they'd be going after drug smugglers but the USCG and Canadian Coast Guard do most/all of that.
As a result, the Boarder Control officers just chill in their brand spankin new offices in my town. Lucky them
