I just realized all my pistols have a 1911 grip angle without ever specifically looking for that. Even my glawk is really just a polymer 80 frame with that grip angle and an OEM slide because i hated how the original frame felt. How did he get it so right 114 years ago?

Lots of experience designing his own firearms instead of design by committee like glock did

Colt had a history of using common hand held tools and equipment grips as the pattern for pistol grips. 1860, its literally a plow handle grip. Shaped by a use itself for a few hundred years its obvious once you hold one.
Take an angle bevel in your hand with a loose grip and point. You will find that most people are naturally pointing straight with a grip angle of about 18 degrees. Im going to guess a man who designed so many firearms figured that out pretty quickly.

also technically the 1911A1 with the arched mainspring housing is close to the luger/glock angle
its mostly the width of glocks that fucks shit up for 90% of people
most people like G36 and G43s

I might get one eventually. The new grips are like $35, so when the subcompact version is released, I'll probably get it then.
The G19 sized one is about perfect for duty and extended magazine use, but the G26 sized one would be nice to have for concealed carry. Costs significantly less than 2 Glocks or a new grip for a P320 (and they got rid of the subcompact P320 option) or P365.

if youre getting a glock clone made by Ruger instead of a PSA or lonewolf youre just avoiding getting a different gun entirely like a Walther, HK or M&P at that point

Yes, when someone buys a certain item and doesn't buy other items, they are... huh?
What even is your argument, and what point are you trying to make?
