Bit of a stupid question given its nature, but has anyone here applied for and gotten a job at their own nation's Spooks?
My great uncle worked for the Stasi (East Germany's KGB basically) and he always said it's surprisingly mundane work even when they were sent overseas in dangerous assignments (he was in Angola as an interpreter for advisors)
>>63946323 (OP)sure they would share that here, retard
no wonder our intel sucks ass
>>63946323 (OP)>he always said it's surprisingly mundane workWell, yeah. Majority of intelligence is just an office job. The cool things like infiltrating terrorist cells are just for the movies, in reality you're more likely to pore over twenty years of a suspected terrorist's bank statements and tip off the cops if you find anything suspicious
For every 007 there are thousands of people just pushing pencils and drafting excel spreadsheets
>>63946323 (OP)I've been with the NRO since leaving the Army. It is just a job.
>>63946806Accurate
>>63946323 (OP)Every single one of us works for the CIA.
Including you OP, I'm still waiting for that "proposal on creative ways to make assassinating anyone with evidence on the Clintons look like an accident", and I swear to god you better come up with a better title by the time it hits my desk or you're pulling pigeon maintenance duty for the next 2 months again.
>>63946323 (OP)a lot of investigations boil down to gathering huge masses of data, cross-referencing them, and coming up with patterns
even Sherlock Holmes essentially did that
>>63946806>For every 007 there are thousands of people just pushing pencils and drafting excel spreadsheetsyep
>>63947365is that the courier pigeons or the deniable organic guided missile pigeons?
>>63946323 (OP)>said it's surprisingly mundane workIt is, most modern intel work is at a desk or watching hundreds of hours of drone and satellite footage. The field people are usually active military who got sequenced for a while to some assignment for an agency.
>>63946323 (OP)Glowies are obsolete. In the 1950s there was no way to figure out what the USSR was doing in a secret military base in Siberia except walking over or flying over or stealing paperwork from someone who did. Now satellites can snap a perfect picture and AI can analyze the social graphs and financial records of everything near it.
>>63947583Glowies are not obsolote. Russia's single strongest field is buying/coercing/manipulating western opinion makers, wealthy people and politicians. And they are exceptionally successful with that.
>>63946353Australian glowies have been confirmed to lurk and shitpost on /int/

>>63948125AI could be trained to do all of those things.
>>63947375The deniable surveillance/suicide pigeons
>>63948275I'm gonna train AI to twist your cock like a pretzel of you don't shut up
>>63946323 (OP)nope they recruit themselves
>>63946323 (OP)I recall the BND having a booth at the last Gamescom, pic related, same for the german army.
Other job conventions tend to have them too.
>>63946323 (OP)yea nigga no cap check out the next mossad recruitment general, coming up when kanye drops his next song, no cap fren
Slipknot neural violence thing, I was targeted for reasons unknown to me, and no it's not just fourth industrial revolution that's making me hallucinate androgynous troons.
I'm not joining your protestant sect, after what I've been through I'll rather donate to the transnational criminal organization that is the Catholic Church.
Arrange a fatal accident for me, some kind of swift execution. Thanks in advance.

>>63946323 (OP)do you need to like learn a different language to work here?

I was both a contractor on the operations side and a staff agent on the security side. Best job ever.
>>63948849Depends on the job. You can go on clearancejobs and look up requirements for different positions listed by American cleared companies, I'm sure foreign contractors are similar. Generally you only need a language to do linguist stuff, there are tons of other things to do in the intel world that don't require one though.
>>63946323 (OP)they make you fuck kids first. if you don't find that a deal breaker, well..
>>63948725>namefag >reddit frogWhy do you post like a fag who just discovered 4chan and is trying to fit in
>>63946323 (OP)I'm engaged in a spook v spook war at the moment. My boy Hemingway and I are the two top operatives of DOGE (which, in reality, is actually a CIA front). Two nights ago we raided a deep state terrorist training camp, using the fireworks to disguise the resulting firefight. We were outnumbered 30 to 1 but we've been training for this shit since birth, so it turned out okay. Shadow-President Obama gave us medals. Score one for the good guys.
>>63948993black folder or blue folder first?
Also what does opening your trunk mean at the farm?
>>63946323 (OP)>My great uncle worked for the StasiThat's not the fact you should be open about
>>63948315Don't threaten me with a good time.
>>63947365if you added a doomsday prediction this would pass as a prophecy on /x/
