I miss this site like you wouldn't believe. Prior to covid I could get a new (used) gun for next to nothing and could keep the hobby going to another gun.

Me too anon, I scored a D-Technik VZ-57 sporter off of a recent widow who was selling her husband's collection.

I miss scrolling through Armslist for hours back in the 2010s and texting some random guy to meet in a random parking lot and both of you doing everything with your left hand because you both had your right hands on your pistols. Over half of my guns came from that blessed site.

I don't get the hype about old Armslist. Literally every time I tried to buy or sell something there the only communication was with scammers. I gave up after enough of that.

>tfw you left your crystal pepsi at home so now you aren't caffeinated enough to wait for the other guy at 0200 in the back Buc-ees parking lot to buy three mosins and a pair of esapi plates fresh from the local army base in 2006.

The gems available were truly unique. Among the best for me was some retard selling a SAR4800 for 600 bucks that he obviously took from his dead dad because he didn't know anything about the rifle, a .300BLK AR pistol with a trijicon rx34 for 400 bucks that i entirely got back when I sold the AR meaning the optic was free, and a non-parts matching luger for 650 bucks in damn near unfired condition

there used to be a lot of greentexts about this. i fondly remember one where anon went to go meet up another seller 3 hours away, thinks he got ghosted and sends a racist tirade only for the seller to reply that he was with his grandson or someshit. made me kek

I noticed my LGS lists a ton of stuff there that's not on the shelf. In your experience do they sell it to you if you come in person and ask about it?

Idk ive only actually bought one once, a ruger LCR for super super cheap, no problems at all with it was like new. Really just browsing is cathartic enough, unless theres a super crazy deal thats all it will be for me. But yeah they sold it to me no problem

Fair enough lol I enjoy browsing too. They still list the email and name of the store and shit so I figure it's easy enough to call and reserve it without actually gping through armslist, who dosen't even see any money from the transaction anyways.

I sold a Chinese guy 500 rounds of American eagle xm193 in a Walmart parking lot at the start of covid for $1 per round. He pulled up in an amg Mercedes so I knew he didn’t care about getting fleeced

I was gonna trade a 1911 for a MAK-90 at the time. Slightly lopsided trade in my favor but at the time similarish values within $200 or so.

>tried to meet 3 times
>got many excuses
>his last try was "i'm at golden corral with my wife and kids but text me and the gun's in the truck" (or some other buffet, this was at least 2018 or so)

I believe he was never serious

Well guys you see, you having generational wealth is bad for the rothschilds and it's offensive to their immigration policies.
Politicians are working very hard to remove you from your homes arbitrarily.

lol, I never had an experience like that. I met a guy with a dog where I accidentally left my short cash with him while I went to the ATM for a CZ82. Another was a guy and his young son in a pickup truck when I was getting a S&W 629 .357 revolver. Another one did seem like a drug deal, he was a college kid who didn't even want to do the drivers license exchange or paperwork for a Colt Vest Pocket. We got lost in different parking lots and had to meet up at the nearby hospital (with no guns allowed posted). And another one who kept wanting to talk about black powder when I was trying to get out of his cat-piss smelling car (probably just the BP) when I got a Colt Walker in a grocery store parking lot.
Honestly it was more chill than a gun store. What's taken its place now?

I was going to meet up with someone to sell a couple of stripped lowers but the only other car in the lot was clearly full of nogs so I dipped out. Every other deal I’ve done has been super chill.

it's alive but paywalled. everyone moved to floridaguntrader or texasguntrader (run by the same person) and as far as I know other states typically have far less volumes to support a standalone site so you would have to use arfcom EE or some other local yokel forums

its missing a space in front of the trigger, makes it inconvenient to design without it
