They need even more because they can't use their radars while in stealth mode; otherwise they would be detected by enemy rwr.

Essentially awacs uses their own radar to tell them the position of the enemy via directed datalinks, they move in position to destroy the targets, they use their own datalink to launch fox 3 missiles, ideally the enemy only detects the awacs radar that's too far to be hit and the missile's radar, that's too close to evade.

LPI function is precisely about working in passive mode as much as possible; at most, using active scanning on irregular intervals to keep the rwr from picking it up as enemy radar is possible and useful, but can't give an up to date picture.

The main tactic if you are not using awacs is to have the stealth fighters work as a team, one actively scanning for situational awareness while also serving as bait, ready to go dark if attacked while the others counter.

that's too extreme, you just have to reduce power and make the operation as random as possible, the receivers will eventually run into physical limitations and your radar won't because the signals aren't random from your point of view so you have processing gain
RWRs are not magic, you can't put tens of millions of RF test gear in your jet like you do in large ELINT planes

Already covered. But the F-22s & F-35s doing escort duty for the B-2, screening ahead demonstrates the concept. "Loyal Wingman" drone decoys (like the less than stealthy ones claimed as plane kills in the Pakistan-India border happening) may make it more survivable to go more raw on the EWS side of things in the future.
