Gunsmiths of /k/ this cutting hole inside the grip frame of the MP40.

What's its size? I'm a 3d modeller for a vr game and there's no measurements online. I have camera matched it and model it by eye but like, I'd like to know if my assumptions are acceptable.

Also. Is it me or is the angle of the grip on the 40 different from the 38?

im assuming you have the rest of the dimensions off that frame since you're only asking for that specific feature. if so you should be able to get a decent approximation just through whatever software you're using.

find a good full photograph of one against a white or neutral background. google the overall length of it. with that you can derive an okayish approx for dimensioning the rest of the features on that part.

Likely used the 38 as measurements hence the question about its angle, they are supposed to be the same according to the wiki just stamped for the 40 depending on its type.

MP40 grip Vs. 38 does look slightly different but overall, I think if you overlapped it you'd find they are the same.
