They're very cool fun guns, 100% worth renting if you come across a range with em. But while 5.7 is no longer wildly snowflake expensive it's still pricey for a handgun round (around double the cost of 9mm) and in turn the P90 is both a pricey PCC and pricier to feed. Whether that's worth it to you is subjective. The stock trigger is kinda shit too fwiw, not that that's the slightest bit unusual for a military gun. Maybe ten-ish lbs trigger weight? Some dudes at a place called promoted pawn put together a pretty good trigger upgrade pack ("delta trigger") for it that improved that a lot though dunno if they're still making it, niche market.

But yeah, they're what 5.7 was made for, they're neat PCCs, ultra easy to control, and even without full auto ultra easy to blaze through a hundred bux like nothing. You have to really want that specific gun and if you don't fuck it but if you do it's cool. And by weird yuro spessgat standards I guess it's actually kinda affordable, unlike an F2k or the like nowadays.

It's fine. Swapping the barrel for SBR purposes is a nuisance, the "vertical" front grip is a little weird, it's downstream of FN copying Steyr's homework so the trigger feels really plastic-y because it is, you can get extendo handguards and low-profile optic mounts to try and be all tactical and shit, but unless you have a really niche use case like "my recoil-shy grandmother with no upper body strength needs a home defense gun" it's best enjoyed as a Stargate SG-1 LARP range toy

It doesn't gain as much velocity out of the extended barrel as you'd expect, probably because it was designed for a 10" barrel. Additionally, if you're willing to lug around a gun that's 26" long and shoots a 50gr bullet at 2600 fps, why not just use a 10.3" AR like a normal person?

P90s only work aesthetically in black because it conceals the chinzy plastic, in the end most of the gun is just a pair of molded plastic parts screwed together, but it at least looks like its meant to be together with the upper assembly. The black not only hides the flat plastic chunks and screw holes, it enhances the curves, you see the interesting features highlighted more with the light-play of its cavities and crevices and some reflections thanks to the old 90s plastic mix. When the body is colored in any other way like fde, green, camo, etc it just looks so fucking ugly and discordant, and they're always matte colors with no reflectivity too which makes it a blob with a metal assembly on top. The only thing that should stick out in a P90 is a full, clean see-through magazine full of glistening brass and red tipped ammo. Sublime vibes.

Only exception is plain white or snow camo, because those always look fucking sweet.
