Nothing about this is decent and whoever is training them should stop them and correct them immediately before letting them train bad habits. Also anybody with a millisecond of experience will be watching this world wide and realize that they're all retarded. It's a bad look to publish this. Obviously 90% of the fighting will be at sea (hopefully) so its not significant.

Norwegian reservists used AG3 long after the army had switched to HK416.

If we thought Ukraine and Russian war footage had hilarious moments like point blank tank shots in infantry at check points and blow job dronings, off brand China and West Taiwan are gonna have some hilarious war footage.

Meh. Any training to speak of might be rare for global fighting forces but this is still third world tier at best and they ought to take it more seriously, even if they are just poorly equipped reservists.

Taiwan is planning on fighting a defensive war on a highly urbanized area (that they don't plan on intentionally and completely destroying on account of being their own) so they don't have much of a choice.
Besides, you should still train your army for the possibility, even if you'd normally just demolish buildings and hope to never engage in CQB.

They are preparing to fight and win the war in the straight - see: Indigestible Porcupine policy. Hence the army is the lowest priority and missiles and standoff munitions are a priority. The army's role is to clean up whatever survivors make it ashore. Taiwan knows that if China makes it ashore with its forces intact its largely over.

As a Taiwanese, what I can tell you is that the enemy our Army will have to deal with is most likely not the PLA but the Communist-supporting Fifth Column at home, where polls have consistently shown that about 9 percent of the people want unification to be accomplished by the PRC rather than the ROC.
