nothing has happened since a couple were yeeted a month or so ago. before that one crashed in siberia in like april. afaik they just moved them further away.

I would imagine that the VKS has a vested interest in making sure these particular airframes are actually kept up.

To fire their Kinzhal yeah, since it is one of the only airframes that can do it iirc. It's why I've heard claims that Ukraine went for them specifically rather than hitting the nuclear bomber aircraft that were stationed there. 1. To remove something that fired Kinzhals and 2. To not give monkee a 'you're basically trying to remove our nuclear weapons NOOOK' response.
