Presenting the Forbidden Tricycle.

Once more the Ukies have out done themselves, this is far too advanced for zigger smekalka. Why put on normal wheels when you can make the wheels be additional payload? Though I have doubts how well this goes off road, the bracers are a good idea, but do they provide enough traction? A bit worried about ground clearance too. Hopefully we'll get a video of this magnificent thing rolling its way towards the ziggers.

>A bit worried about ground clearance too
If it works like Ice just add spikes too it.
That said idk if it has the speed to reach the trench before gettijg gun down by machinegun.
Id put thenbody lower and give it tracks with the explosives innthe back so whsn you reach the trench you just spin around and drop into it without an easy stray bullet exploding it because it it hit a wheel accidently.
Or you could open with kamizake drones to suppress the macchineguns and then bring this thing to bear.
Its unbelivable how similar to videogames thos war is

That's a funny thought, but I'm pretty sure it moves with the batteries on it. I guess it turns with differential steering too so I'm guess there's two electric motors on each of the mine wheels.

Actually nvm, there's a hinge for the front wheel. That's going to be tough to turn in dirt desu since it's trying to lever the whole front assembly. I wonder if it goes two wheel first or one wheel first? Steering with turning the single wheel would be easier when going two wheels first I think.

I bet they'd make a nightmarish sound on tarmac with those bracers. Screw the drone whining, this is true PTSD fodder with its rhythmic clanking as it barrels down on you.

Take some appropriately dimensioned steel car wheel rims, cut out the center, then tack weld the rim (with tire installed, weld quickly and heat is no issue) to the minewheel brackets and you have any tire you want as traction, just like running ATV tires on the back of riding mowers (including my three).

Search "mud mowers" for some rolling VBIED ideas which can be used elsewhere.

I think it might be differential steering with the single wheel trailing behind. It looks like the hinge is only kept centered by some springs, no actual steering mechanism there.

You're probably right, but I was thinking that the steering system might be on/off kind of thing and the springs help bring it some "smoothness" as the servos go to one extreme from the other. It's harder to make a steering system that has actual steps of control, having it just jank the springs back and them slowly tugging the wheel that way would make it somewhat resemble that level of control.

But yeah that's a much better idea for how it works, didn't occur to me.

Because drones take the spotlight, UGVs are pretty underappreciated but they're actually quite versatile. I've recently watched a random video that turned out to be a sort of a mini-documentary on Ukrainian UGVs and I'm pretty sure we're in for quite a treat in the near future given how things evolve. The funniest part was one of their trolling ideas which turned out pretty useful:
>dudewhatif we mount a NURS on an UGV and just like shoot it towards Russians positions
>go to some old Soviet fighter jet monument that had some perfectly preserved in grease
>start hacking them off
>local police show up, tell them to fuck off, back to business
>back home mount the thing on a UGV, go to forest, start blasting at Russians
>just continuous salvos and reloads, salvos and reloads
>hear pidors on intercepted comms yelling about Ukie AF firing at them

Ive seen enough videos of Russian tank cooking off, some mlrs rockets, Even some fuel exploding.
It would absolutely go Kaboom if it pens the explosive, and if the explosive is contained in a wheel and it gets hit at least it ll lose effectivenes.
With flying drones they are harder to hit and move faster so thats not really a problem and even tjen when they do get shoot they also explode(though a few viseos i seen they explode later).

tanks & drones are the same thing as tank mines
the type of explosives used are not that sensitive, you could shoot it all day & get nothing
the problem is if the blasting cap is struck, but with how small & secure they are, thats not going to happen
