If the Chink ones can magically get proper engines, then I'd choose them. They're far cheaper so you can produce much larger numbers than the American ones.
>>63991724 >stealthier than anything else on the market
Maybe excluding american options. I don't actually know about the sorks weird thingy they have, but until it has a iwb it doesnt count. That leaves the su57, with similar rcs as a super hornet. This isn't exactly a high bar for dedicated stealth planes to clear, even if its temushit.

I'll give them some credit, they're at least trying a little harder than Suckhoi, dASSault, and Saad to actually cook up a competitor to the F35 and the F22. They might have reduced their RCS by 5, maybe even 6% over the previous flanker clones

Yeah the bar isn't high, and neither is China particularly EXPERIENCED in designing/manufacturing aircraft. It's what you'd expect from a country in the early stages of their MIC.
>>63990773 (OP) >Copies made decades later are still slightly inferior
Changs stay losing. I still respect how far they have come and underestimating your enemy is a grevious mistake.

i actually agree, i just call them 4th gen because it pisses chinks off.
still not low observable enough to square off with proper stealth aircraft thoughever

Only now the US has been humble enough to buy the french helmet after the chinks J-20 have long surpassed the F-22 in numbers and there's a clear threat of a war in the Pacific happening. It's well known that during mock dogfights between F-22's vs Hornets, the superbugs always managed to get the first shot due to having HMDs.
