Two ziggers were captured in Ukraine wearing picrel.

Not gonna lie, this pattern looks pretty good. It's got an actual macro pattern, which is more than I can say about a lot of camo patterns. Big poncho cloaks might camouflage well, but they're not very practical for anything other than being a tent.

They might be intended to be thermal cloaks too.

And I agree the pattern is both aesthetic and seems to function pretty well in that scene. Maybe a bit better for brush and field than foliage.

I heard combining multiple camos, assuming they're roughly from the same palette, is actually a bit more effective than having everything be completely uniform. Something to do with obscuring the silhouette. Is there any truth to this?

I think people in this thread failed to realize that the police are basically a pseudo-military at this point. You can call them one of these all you want, but if the circumstances allow and the government can justify it, they will be mobilized against you as an actual fighting force if you are deemed a problem. At that point it's not a law enforcement issue anymore. It's one thing to have very modern kit for high-risk situations. It's another thing when you have so much funding you basically are a mini militia.

if you're mixing camos and it looks better, it's because one of them is bad
something people really don't take into account is contrast and saturation matching, specifically where I am in the mid-atlantic/appalachia, multicam looks like absolute dogshit and stands out in our forests because it doesn't match the contrast and saturation of the background, whereas if you wear standard flecktarn or M81 you'll be totally invisible

What if you did an eclectic mix of environment appropriate Realtree, m81, and Flecktarn? Since they're all "good", would the least of them make that part of your body stick out in contrast? I always wondered why Realtree never caught on with the tactical community considering it's ubiquity and the sheer variety of patterns available, versus the more generalized approach of a mass issue camo. having a top and bottom in similar but not identical patterns can further breakup your silhouette. Like M81 top and DPM bottom. light solid bottom, and dark complex top can also help with silhouetting or visibility from long distance
