what is the best reaction rod for AR10 DPMS type rifles?

I ordered the BAR belt off Sarco.
Sarco BAR belt says US but smells kinda like milsurp. Appears to be new manufacturer but the canvas and stitching both look and feel good. I can fit 2 repro metric mags a pouch, or 1 DSA plastic mag. I like it, seems like a good mag bandolier for the range or throw it on for larping.

Anybody here replace the recoil spring on a G3 before? I've got a CA3 I'm trying to swap the recoil spring on, have tapped out the two retaining pins that hold the end cap onto the recoil guide rod, but the end cap won't budge at all so I can't get the old spring off. Not really sure what I can do to get it off, there isn't really a whole lot of surface area to tap at with a hammer and punch to get it moving.
