Using non-fictional weapons, vehicles, and technologies that are within our capability to build today, how would you kill Godzilla? No fantasy cheat codes i.e. oxygen destroyer, Jaegers, etc. Square-cube law is the coward's way out, so is starvation, we'll give Big G the benefit of the doubt that he won't self-destruct.
Schizoposting encouraged as long as it could feasibly work.
Kill plans for other kaijus are also welcome, especially if the kaiju in question has some novel trait or ability that needs to be addressed by the plan directly, such as King Ghidorah's regeneration for example.

But that's what Godzilla is, a fantasy cheat code stand-in for environmental and war concerns. The whole point of it is its plot-device defense from whatever conventional stuff that thus puts humanity in its place. What a stupid fucking post.

>target literally has fictional superpowers
>can't use fictional items or methods to kill him
Really couldn't happen. The whole idea is that he's a more fucked up threat than a nuke. Even among kaiju, he's essentially Superman (except, ironically, Godzilla has a vicious hatred of immigrants). Without using one of his kryptonites, you really couldn't.

For some of his buddies and enemies, it's a little more feasible.
>Rodan
Rodan's pretty weak shit without many meaningful powers. He was vulnerable to a sting attack from Mothra, and generally can't hang in a direct fight very well. I hire some old-fashioned Japanese guys to crash F-16s into Rodan's wing flaps and then just bomb the shit out of him
>Mothra Larva
way smaller in the Monsterverse, so just a few hellfire missiles.
>Anguirus
No notable recovery abilities despite high physical defense. Apply injections of septicemia to the inside of his mouth via drone while he's sleeping or eating.
>Ebirah
Wait for Rodan to pick him up out of the water and drop him the way birds do with crabs. Use large hydraulic press to crack open tail. Consume with fresh-baked cheddar biscuits and an abundance of butter
>Mechagodzilla
Wait for its pilot to get into an accident (Asian and usually female driver), climb into cockpit, remove hard drive

>Sundial was the codename of one of two massive nuclear bombs planned for testing by the University of California Radiation Laboratory, Livermore Branch as part of a classified[1][2] American weapons project in the early 1950s.[3] Announced by Edward Teller at a meeting of the General Advisory Committee of the Atomic Energy Commission, it was intended to have a yield of 10 gigatons of TNT, while its counterpart, Gnomon, was intended to have a yield of 1 gigaton.[4]

Very curious how lazy you have to be to look up "Godzilla" and think that is the most recent thing. The square cube law doesn't say "big things are weak" it says strength has to scale with mass rather than height to maintain similar form and relative motion.

So all you're saying is that Godzilla is super durable.

You know you can make a shaped charged nuke right ? If a shitty rpg can eat through 700mm of steel just imagine
There is absolute no need to go as hard as that but just to ilustrate how silly the premise of megafauna posing a threat to humans, a tank shell should do
"But they dont work in movies" they should, the also never shoot dinos with guns in Jurassic Park despite most of them having smaller torsos than an éléphant (an animal you can kill with a hunting bow) or you know fucking blue whales the biggest animal ever to exist and helpless against a spiky stick

Godzilla has many different scales and levels of power that are irreconcilable (even in the same movies) so there are plenty of "levels" of Godzilla that could be killed or injured by things like hypersonic impacts from relatively narrow, dense projectiles of sufficient size.
He tends to be magically immune to anything involving a nuclear bomb (they talk about him "absorbing the radiation" like there isn't a physical pressure component to a nuclear explosion) so the standard sci fi nerd answer of the Casaba Howitzer is probably out.

So the best bet is probably rigging up some kind of massive hypersonic needle-missile like a huge tungsten rod moving at mach 10, or taking the largest amount of conventional explosives you can land a hit on him with and converting it to a shaped charge. An ideal shaped charge detonation with a 1000 pound charge of HE or more could penetrate more steel for example than a direct hit from an omnidirectional nuclear blast.

>any known material.
Ah the "but I did eat breakfast" logic.

We're faced with a conditional hypothetical: a monster exists for the purpose of the scenario that functions as it does on screen, approximately how strong would the material it is made from have to be and how much force would it have to produce to fulfill that condition?
You, being intellectually lazy and possibly autistic, point out that the conditional hypothetical has hypothetical conditions.

I wouldn’t try to kill Godzilla since he’s not actually evil or anything. He only attacks humans when we attack him first. Usually he only appears when there’s an even worse monster threatening us, so I would just leave him alone to let him deal with that.

The original Godzilla didn’t feed off radiation. It was only the 80’s/90’s series and later that established that ability.

Note that the question is not whether it can be done at all, but what it would take to do it. Giant monster media always undersells mankind's capabilities. A functional, high-velocity railgun is something we can build right now, the Navy's already done it. Godzilla's immune to nukes for some reason, but not kinetic energy alone. I'd have to do some math to tell you exactly how big of a railgun you'd need to penetrate his scales/plates, but I guarantee we're capable of building one big enough to inflict lethal wounds.

In most depictions where it's actually addressed, Godzilla does take damage from conventional weapons. But the workaround is that he just heals too fast to keep down. He is a living fission reactor after all, so long as enough meat is in one piece he'll continue to regenerate indefinitely until he depletes his internal stores of fuel. I think in one of the 90's movies they try to work around that and just go after his brain, but he's got more than one, and the one they destroy regrows in a couple minutes.
