If he were wild'n out on an on a Virginia-class could a Mark 48 lock on and solve the problem?

I asked chatgpt and it told me that the size of a sperm whale penis is larger than that of a human woman.
>Sperm Whale Penis
>Length: ~5 to 6 feet (1.5โ€“1.8 meters)
>Girth (circumference): ~12 to 16 inches (30โ€“40 cm)
>Weight: Can weigh over 130โ€“200 pounds (60โ€“90 kg)

>Average Human Female (for comparison)
>Height: ~5 feet 4 inches (162 cm)
>Vaginal canal depth (non-aroused): ~3 to 4 inches (7.5โ€“10 cm)
>Vaginal canal depth (aroused): Can expand to ~4.5 to 6 inches (11.5โ€“15 cm)

>The sperm whaleโ€™s vaginal canal is long and wide enough to easily accommodate the penis of a male sperm whale, which is about 6 feet long and ~12 inches in girth.
>By contrast, the entire human male body would be smaller in height and width than the whaleโ€™s vaginal tract.

only when it's away from the sub.

torpedoes have killed wales before. i recall the bongs mistook a few wales for subs.

Couldn't they just kill it with a sonar ping?

Sounds like the whale has a pretty nassive weapon to me. Imagine taking a whale load in your butt, which would have to be a magical expanding butt in this scenario.

Then again, if you had a magical butt like that you could fit an entire human female inside, so like the whale weapon would just be personal choice. Unless you were swimming in horny whale waters, and the whales had an insatiable desire for human butt.

Maybe not kill it but it would be so painful that the sonar would drive the whale away and cause permanent hearing loss. The active sonar produces so much energy that the water boils next to the sonar transducers. Think of that for a minute.

not ideal, mk48 is self guided with active sonar but whales don't give good active sonar signatures compared to subs
Subs have a hollow space full of air inside them so the ping bounces really well off it, the majority of the whale is watery flesh, you'll get a return but a lot of the ping just passes through

>>64008764
it would have to be extremely close to hurt it, at most sonar confuses whales, even then theres way more noise pollution along shipping channels just from all the propellers that it is more likely to fuck with whales than sonar

>>64009082
sonar could boil water, but then it's at a level that it would likely damage itself, it doesn't happen in regular use

>theres way more noise pollution along shipping channels just from all the propellers that it is more likely to fuck with whales than sonar
Noise levels in shipping channels are minuscule compared to a sonar ping. We are talking 100 or more extra Db's than a rock concert.

Not to mention water is an extremely effective medium for sound to travel. Whales are routinely fucked up by sonar, we just cant speak their language to understand how endemic the problem (likely) really is. At the very least it affects the hearing of the whales.

Yes, though with modern targeting systems newer torpedoes would likely be able to tell that the target isn't a submarine, if older torpedoes are used, however, they could fuck up whales.

Sonar would fuck them up easier and quicker anyways. Would literally shake them to death if they are close enough to fuck with a submarine.

Kill?
Probably not.
Permanently deafen and potentially cause serious long lasting damage?
100%.
It would stop picking fights with subs either way.

There's a chapter in Moby Dick called "The Cassock" where they cut off a whale penis and a few guys carry it onto the deck and then they cut the tip off and skin it and peel it and let it dry, then they cut armholes in it and a guy wears it as a poncho
