Ruger made the mistake of not offering a threaded barrel out of the box, even if it would have made it just a few dollars more. Seriously, the RXM's MSRP is $500 which I'm pretty sure is the same MSRP as the Glock 19 Gen 3 its a clone of

Dealer price is ~350, thatโ€™s almost $100 in profit per RXM sold at msrp. I think itโ€™ll be pretty easy to find them at $500, provided Ruger manages to convince dealers to shill the thing.

I genuinely wonder if it is as reliable as say a gen 5 Glock, or as mechanically accurate. I know everyone has a ton of good will towards the RXM(including me I guess) but I'd love to see a long term durability test when they start becoming feasible. I know a few preliminary ones exist, but still. I wonder if the theoretical gen 6 "modular" Glocks are gonna be better than the RXM, I'm sure poorfags(imagine not being able to afford a Glock lmao) will already say the RXM is superior because they are brokies

Official spokesmen for Ruger have stated before in interviews that they intended this gun for the civilian carry market, rather than aiming for mil/le contracts and its feature set seems to support that. For example, the RXM doesn't have ambidextrous controls which would have made it ineligible for the MHS contract.

>>64024658
I've exclusively used Glock OEM 17-round magazines in mine with no issue. What problems are the Magpul magazines giving you?

>>64024666
There is a ledge near the nose of the magazine that is a touch lower on the Magpul mags (the ones the RXM was designed around) than the OEM Glock ones which - if you apply upward pressure onto an OEM mag while firing - can bump the slide catch and induce premature slide lock. The only circumstance I could see that coming into play is if you happened to be shooting off a sandbag.

Then it's likely just a single lemon rather than a fundamental incompatibility between the brand and your gun. Generally, Magpul Glock magazines work well as long as you're not dropping them into sand or using steel case (as the all polymer construction has less tolerance for increased friction, either from debris or a less lubricious case design), but they tend to have more issues than OEM mags regardless. If you can identify the magazine I'd disassemble it and check if the magazine body needs cleaning, otherwise send it back or toss it.

>it's actually a pretty snazzy looking pistol.
Ruger seems to always do a pretty decent job with pistol slide designs, they tend to fuck it up on the grip though.

Magpul left to design the frame was a match made in heaven. With one notable exception of what was literally their very first product outside a magazine they have done nothing but fantastic design; comfy, aesthetic and ergonomic
