is what the black hawk could have been.
>>64021466convergent design, it only looks like the black hawk because that's an efficient shape for a medium transport helicopter
>>64021485They reverse engineered Sikorsky S70s they had purchased in the 90s, the engines are copies too
they even copied the wheel configuration and folding mechanism from the seahawk for the navilized version
>>64021456kek'd, implessive, if i dare say
>>64021485And the TU-4 only looks exactly like a B-29 because it's an efficent bomber design
>>64021550TU4 was a reverse engineered copy of aircraft that had to land in Russia.
No convergent design there more want, hav.
I feel nothing but disdain for the Chinese. Their inability to create, think creatively, or cultivate any unique aspects to their culture that one couldn't also relate to an ant colony truly relegates these people to a half step below humanity.
I have no doubt these creatures will some day attempt, and fail, to destroy the humans that are unfortunate enough to inhabit the same planet as them. I hope this embarrassingly inadequate race is dealt with sooner than later.
I mean come on, just make your own fucking helicopter or at least pretend to, holy fuck.
>>64021501Also the entire rotor system is taken from the the Eurocopter EC225LP Super Pumas operated by PLA
>>64021485>that's an efficient shapelol it's huge heli with tiny usable space

>>64021449 (OP)China once license produced S-70, a civilian version of UH-60, which means they had access to the original design.

looks like they welded the ass of a hind onto the cockpit of a blackhawk
The Blackhawk is literally a 50 year old design. It first flew in 1974 and entered service in 1979.
>>64022216It just looks like a Blackhawk/Seahawk.

>>64022360whenever I see this picture I am amazed at the restraint and mercy displayed by the PLA. Respect. If this was in the US, that dude would had been a pancake.
And yea, the tanks were leaving Tiame Square. The dude actually was trying to stop the tanks from leaving because there were traitors to be dealt with. He was urging them to finish the job but like I've said: boundless mercy and benevolence. Respect

>>64023101If you zoom out of this photo, you will see that the tanks are actually leaving the square and your source also says that it was taken on June 5th, a day after the massacre (which didn't happen on the square, as the entry admits). The fights happened in the streets leading to the square as the protestors blocked the roads with burned out busses and captured APCs.
>>64022981This one is trying too hard
>>64021449 (OP)What even is the point of that fairing on the tail landing gear? It looks like it's just begging to hit the ground on a roll on landing.
>>64024099possibly, the designers were given a shape to copy, and tried to stick to it, but found they couldn't quite miniaturise their internal mechanisms like American ones, and so it sticks out a bit
>>64021449 (OP)Nope. This is what the black hawk could've been
>>64021449 (OP)How did the Chinese make it look so smooth and high quality? Like zero imperfections, bolts standing out etc
>>64024987It's an implessive parade piece to be sure
