Aren't republican asians in the US obsessively American? As in, they emulate the most American trends possible? Or did that die out in the early 90s? I know they loved Reagan, but that might have been a cold war thing.

From firsthand experience, most of the ultra American Asians are either the immigrant 0th gen or the first gen born here. 2nd and 3rd gen Asians tend to be culturally identical to leftist middle class whites because they grow up under the success of their parents.

Yeah. I'm not American, but that's my experience as well, and also lines up with the stats I've looked over. Asians who came to the US during the cold war seemed to heavily lean Republican, because many of them had escaped communist shitholes. However, after the cold war ended, the second gen and newly immigrated chink agents all seem to lean far left.
Aside from the obvious shift in global politics, I think a lot of it also has to do with asians mostly living in major US cities, particularly in liberal, coastal cities. That said, the asian-Americans I've talked to who aren't liberals, tend to be extreme American patriots. It's the same in my country.
Most asians here are left-leaning, but the ones who aren't are fiercely patriotic and complain about how the white natives aren't patriotic enough and are adamant about stopping immigration from third world countries.

Wouldn't Cotton have a big collection of Japanese handguns?
Also, Boomhauer is a Texas Ranger, so unless he carries a personal firearm, he's be using some kind of SIG. He seems like a patriot though, so if he uses anything else, I assume it'd be American. Hell, I can see him carrying a revolver, given his retro style.
>>64024989
I think Dale might lean towards a Luger P08, considering his conspiratorial patriotism might make him choose something that's so anti-American, pro-Fudd that he believes it hasn't been tampered with by the US government. Maybe he got it from one of his lying, Mexican connections who says it came straight from a German nazi veteran.
"Flawless German engineering, made from pure Siegerland steel."
I think he's shown using a variety of guns in the show though, including what looks like 1911s, a gun that would fit him and everyone else in the main cast by default.

Cotton was such a fucking asshole. I actually do have a soft spot for the old, hard disciplinarian types if there's a purpose to their behavior, but Cotton was just a fucking asshole. There were a few episodes where you could almost see some humanity or genuine attempts at tough love in him, like when he ended up helping Peggy recover from her parachuting incident, but he never really redeemed himself, and died an asshole.

Bill would be the one with the P320 since it's the same model he'd be issued in the Army. He would get shot by it discharging by itself and no one would believe him when he said it wasn't his fault.
Kahn would brag that he had a super secret special high tech pistol that was classified which was way better than anything Hank could ever own. In reality it would be a Glock 19 that he privately complains to Mihn about because it's nothing special.
Hank would have a 1911 that belonged to Cotton which he would never actually shoot, since Cotton gave him a phobia about guns.
Dale would have an entire arsenal of unregistered guns that he keeps buying and selling back and forth between his gun club buddies. He would carry a different one each day to keep the government "off his trail."
Boomhauer would carry a P320 as the standard issue for a Texas Ranger, until Bill shoots himself with one. He then gets a Staccato 2011 as his daily carry.

Hank owns at least two rifles and two shotguns if you count Bobby's guns from when they got into shooting, the episodes where they hunt, and when Lucky makes Hank "force" him into a shotgun wedding. I don't think he's ever seen with anything outside of his shotgun or his rifle.

not always true but maybe you're right

i am second gen korean but radicalized by what happened to LA. I'm not talking about the riots... talking about the bums and mexicans really

For some odd reason, I am the only one among all the korean guys i knew that are really into guns. Koreans generally have an aversion to it because they were raised to be sorta goodie goodie. so more often than not, I get their noses turned up at me when I mention hobbies of this nature. And the ones that are into guns are kinda weird, the self-hating type. The simple asnwer is we dont like to break the mold.

As an Asian, this is brutally accurate.

Japanese pride reliability and practicality over all, so they'd buy Glocks.
Chinese are all about status, so they want the Gucci shit - HK.
Koreans are a little bit of both, probably FN or higher-end 1911s.
Vietnamese, Thai, Filipinos, Indians all emulate whatever the above three do but are usually too poor to afford nice shit, so they'd get the "just as good" equivalent.

Hank would only buy guns made in America, preferably in Texas.
So Ruger, Colt, S&W and Springfield are all contenders.
He's also old fashioned, so that leans more to a 1911 or revolver of some kind. I'm guessing a blued S&W model 25 in 45.
