L3 i2 tubes are drying up in the commercial market space. What do I look at next? Bought a tube and got a monocular set up running and was planning on doing another when I get more money but I'm worried they will be disappeared before I get there.

What do I look at next?

second tube specs in a bino matter way less, you don't need both to be L3 unfilmed 2.5k+ FOM to have depth perception

I don't use duals but dualfags told me that you should match the second tube as closely as you can to rule out the risk of them being uncomfortable to use.

I've combined an omni 7 green phos and a chynese gen3 white phos for shits and giggles and it was fine. same for omni 7 with an old, noisy 10160A. even large differences in SNR turned out fairly inconsequential. because the brain merges the sharp image from the good tube and the noisy image from the mediocre tube into a sharp image with depth perception.
I wouldn't worry so much about finding a second gucci L3 unfilmed, just get the best that's available to you when you settle for a budget

the color in my own eyes is tinted slightly different between each one and my right eye's vision is worse than the left's, a little bit of difference in lenses wont be enough to matter
