German engineering, specifically nazi German was over complicated, required too much upkeep and was prone to failure, ie their tanks.
Reason why the common belief is the opposite of this is because america spared too many nazi officers, letting them continue the larp of "German superiority".

Smart is the only company owned by Germany that uses French engines in some of their models and they are the least reliable. France simply canโ€™t build cars

German engineered cars are either reliable Porsche or completely retarded, there is no in-between.
VW has some of the most retarded engine designs, and I am sure these were designed in such a way to require the user to visit the dealership who will have to pull an engine out and rebuild it to replace a water pump or alternator.
German engineering is a meme for overengineered shit that blows up at the earliest opportunity.

It's pretty easy once you realize the French want x like everyone else. BUT everything on it must be made in France from patents owned by Frenchmen. It's a kino holdover from the age of industrial revolution. An entire country that never got the globalism patch.

Mercedes used french engines from Renaud on their class A, B, C, GLA and X up to a certain engine size, usually up to 1.8 liter.

And then they co developped the current small size engines for the current models.

The 20 years old partnership recently ended so this should stop.
