is cybersecurity practically impossible? should modern militaries assume everywhere a phone is allowed is known by the enemy?

anything that can be used for intelligence can also be used as a vector for counter-intelligence. we will live/have already lived to see AI networks that imitate humans for the purpose of poisoning intel. I wouldn't even assume that OP's pic is legitimate

Depends on how much cybersecurity you need. Any defense can be penetrated given enough time and resources. Even the Maginot Line was eventually conquered.

That being said, you don't need to simply let your enemies hit you. You can redirect attacks into Honey Pots full of misinformation and malware. You can cut off IP addresses from attackers. You can hire hackers to brick the server of anybody attacking you.

Pokemonfags solved that 10 years ago.
Just use a software spoofer or a mini-GPS spoofer powered by a CR2032.

>is cybersecurity practically impossible
security impossible by design, hardware and software has back doors for exploitation by designers, and can be found by others, but additional vulnerabilities not understood initially, and additional ways to compromise the systems as a whole.

Not impossible, it's just easy to be complacent.
Cybersecurity is something many large organizations don't take seriously.
It's really hard to drill basic concepts into the heads of the average retards within the lowest levels of an organization, or to explain how organizational security is only as strong as its weakest link.
So you have Barbara the dumbass bimbo over here taking a photo for her social media account and compromising national security in the process. Some people need to be court martialed for their retarded decisions.

There is an app called Tea. It is sold as a 'safety app'. In reality it's a gossip app. It was sold on the pretext that women in your area could team up to have 'tea' and chat about 'dangerous' men in their area to avoid. So 'Mr Adam Smith raped/abused me' or 'Mr Dale Archer said creepy things to me'. Usual stuff. However the app was essentially used for women to go 'Mr Sam Sammington is a cheapskate who wouldn't pay for X Y Z or took me to cheap restaurant or has shitty drapes'. Anyway the app required users to scan photo ID to show they were of age to use the app and said it wasn't stored. Turns out it was stored. It was stored in a random bucket folder. It wasn't secured and was easily hacked by the hacker known as 4chan and leaked on the internet. Since the files were completely unsecured hundreds of full face IDs and locations were leaked.

OP is just a woman who took a selfie on a military base for the app. Additionally, Grok thought it was an F-35, when it is a Hornet. That's the most amusing part.

Addendum, goes to show that the UK's 'Online Safety Act' and the EU's one coming in is absolutely bullshit because there is no such thing as 'secure storage' nor can you trust companies 'don't save your files'.

The real funniest part of the Tea "hack" is that it's "exposing" the users the same way the app is designed to expose men
Turnabout's fair play innit
