could you really dual wield two Colt Walkers or Dragoons?

No, they're two handed weapons only in the base and you're not able to equip them in either hand without a mod.

I'd still recommended using one at a time unless its an actual point blank shootout against numerically greatly superior enemy ie. you literally cannot miss

IIRC a guy in real life dueled two Walkers when he was ambushed on a wagon trail and killed 12 out of the 15 bandits. A link from any anon who remembers the name would be much obliged

Asked copilot AI about it, sounds like a real badass:

From Copilot:
The Duel on the Wagon Trail โ€“ El Dorado County, California, 1854
On December 19, 1854, Davis and two companions were ambushed by a gang of 14 bandits while walking a trail. Here's how it unfolded:
- Davisโ€™s companions, Dr. Bolivar Sparks and James McDonald, were shot and killed immediately.
- Davis drew two Colt revolvers and dual-wielded them against the attackers.
- He killed seven bandits with his pistols before running out of ammunition.
- The remaining attackers charged with Bowie knives and a sword.
- Davis, a skilled fencer, drew his own Bowie knife and killed the remaining four in hand-to-hand combat.
- Total bandits killed: 11. The remaining three fled or later died of wounds.

https://www.placercountyhistoricalsociety.org/_files/ugd/d597af_e9422d10a710418c95d47fd39d19e103.pdf?index=true

That PDF has a more detailed story, but if you're not wanting to go to the link, should be able to get it from Copilot if you ask about sources from that shootout. Cool story, hadn't heard of it before.

There were Yanks in the Eureka Stockade too, the gold rush era in both countries had miners going back and forth seek their fortune.
The Yanks in the Eureka Stockade were mostly veterans too I believe.

As someone who has two colt walkers, you'll be hitting the hammer with your offhand and swapping guns when the first one is out. Might as well keep it holstered. These are not light revolvers at all.

Well, the sound will differ because of acoustics (he's in a concrete walled indoor range, so the sound bounces around like that).
However, it's a fairly high powered .45 caliber blackpowder gun, so it'll have a bit of thump to its report.

>Captain Davis, an Army veteran, pulled out both of his pistols and killed seven of the bandits in short order. Out of bullets, Captain Davis, an expert fencer, pulled out his Bowie knife and killed four more of his attackers. The surviving bandits fled for their lives.

Killing seven guys with two revolvers is one thing, but four more with nothing but a knife is metal as fuck.

The "California Rangers" were part of the strike but weren't at the actual battle, being the only ones with their own horses and pistols they were off on patrol that morning. (all the Catholics were at mass too, the Troopers knew precisely when the camp was depopulated)
One of the 10 men tried for the affair was one of them and an African American too.
>The Yanks in the Eureka Stockade were mostly veterans too I believe.
My understanding is they were '49ers that came from the Californian gold rush, it's not impossible they had served in the Mexican-American War but I've never heard of anything specific.

Well, not to answer your question, but a 92FS lefty for suppression fire and a DW 5" .44remmag for accurate fire with pen. I feel this is a thoughtful approach to dual weilding.

If you empty your mag in a few seconds, you're not doing any suppression after that.
You want a double-stacked extendo, calibre unimportant though maybe better than .22 if you can manage it.

Weren't they literally intended to be fired with one hand while riding a horse? Like that's why they were made in the first place for union cavalry men to be able to shoot confederate horses?
