I'm slightly irritated that you didn't use image search.
French republic has it listed on their archive: https://imagesdefense.gouv.fr/fr/volontaires-au-garde-a-vous-pendant-une-ceremonie-de-prestation-de-serment-1.html
>The report shows the swearing-in and presentation of flags to the Arab volunteer units serving in the German ranks.
So >>64033048 seems correct with his assumption that it is the Free Arabian Legion.

Because it was worthwhile?
Ideologically they didn't care for blacks but neither were they specifically singled out for persecution.
Afaik there were instances of them executing black french soldiers but they never had any issues with recruiting all kinds of ethnicities to free up manpower or otherwise get strategic advantages.
See the Indian and Arab volunteers which were basically forces of aligned "potential governemnts" which could counter the existing rule.

They're all wearing Heer decals (Reichsadler with the swastika) on their helmets so no.

During the 1940 French campaign, they regularly did. But there were still a huge chunk of them who wound up as POWs and resentment of French and British colonialism was absolutely rampant among them, many were also willing take up arms for the German cause purely to have better living conditions.

The three ethnicities that the Germans considered racially off-limits for impressment were

>Jews (go figure, it's a genocidal antisemitic ideology after all)
>Poles (Germans seemed to have a massive a massive hateboner for Poles at the time, even anti-Nazis like von Stauffenberg absolutely detested independent Poland and wanted it destroyed)
>Gypsies (after 1942)

Everyone else they came up with some sort of ideological cope for recruiting ("Ackshully, Croats and Ukrainians are descendants of ancient Aryans..."). Worth keeping in mind though that these people were still considered fundamentally inferior and had Germany won and the Nazi ideology remained unreformed, they wouldn't even be considered citizens, let alone second-class ones.

>Poles
Even that wasn't completely the case with them, both depending on time and person.
Pre-war the, I think foreign office, published statements that included slavs as part of the Aryan group. During the war there were at least cases of children being intended for germanization.

While that is true (and kidnapping of Polish children with German features like blond hair was rampant btw), I was speaking specifically in regards to recruitment (voluntary or otherwise) into the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS. Poles at the start of the were off-limits with the exception of ethnic Germans on the Volksliste (pic related). Later in the war, the Wehrmacht reversed this policy somewhat and did conscript some Poles into its ranks, but they were still forbidden from forming their own ethnic formations like how Ukrainians (Galicia division) and Croats/Bosnians (Handschar division) did and regarded as untrustworthy.

Poles were recruited under the guise of actually being german aka volksdeutsch. Which was so obviously a farce that "volksdeutsch" came to mean "traitor" in polish.

Which (1) is completely irrelevant for what I said and (2) also has the issue that multiple imperfect version of that speech exist with afaik no consensus which are accurate.

Fair.
I was mainly thinking along he lines of it not necessarily being restricted pre-war, or well being quite diffuse, and with "germanized" children obviously being exempt as exemplary for how flexible their doctrine ultimately was when it came to these things.
