USS_Enterprise_(CVN-65)_at_Newport_News_Shipbuilding_on_15_July_2018_(180715-N-AO748-0061)
That even ancient CVs like decommissioned Enterprise and soon to be decommissioned Nimitz are far beyond any other nations' capabilities of naval aviation.

I have not a slightest idea, how anyone (China? India(lol)? Russia(lol!)?) could compete with the newest Ford-line CVs. It's just useless to even try.

Warships, like cars, can remain operational for just as long as you'd like if you're willing to spend the money. The money required starts to increase exponentially as time goes on. After a certain point, it becomes cheaper to just build a new one and replace it. Nimitz is getting to be that age. I won't go into specifics, but we've learned things since 1975 that would result in building her differently if we did it all over again today.

Yes. It's within the fireball radius at that, meaning the prompt radiation radius: the ship is cooked by thermal radiation and blast, actual radiation that will irradiate the hull forever, and the over-pressure which will damage the hull directly. There's no need to worry about EMP because all the masts, antennas and radars will be disabled.

The rather loose formations developed during the Cold War wasn't just for conventional air and sub defense, but so that a nuclear detonation within the formation wouldn't kill the entire thing. Submarines could always do a sneak attack with nuclear torps or missiles.

Not going to happen, the actions taken by Trump so far are only superficial. You need to adress fundamental issues in order to reindustrialize America, and ideological blinders prevent americans from doing so. Its just as Yuri Bezmenov described it.

If you check US debtclock dot org, you'll notice that the federal debt mountain is set to grow at a rapid pace, and that America will enter a debt crisis in the 2030s. I predict that the 2030s will be very violent, both in America and Europe.

Gamma ray radiation does not reflect strongly against metal, it penetrates it. And it transfers its tremendous photon energy to the metal itself by ripping electrons out of their orbits and semi elastic collisions with atomic nucleuses. And the heated air and water is going to turn into plasma which will form an enormously powerful shockwave. Conventional explosions produce hot gas that expands by brownian motion - the molecules bounce off each other. But plasma expansion is by raw nuclei pushing each other away at a distance meaning that its far more powerful. So no, a carrier wont survive 200 kiloton 500 meters off the bow.

Only long power lines or cheap radio interfaces would suffer.

Stories of EMP dangers come from cold war electronics where transistors barely functioned and wrong look would blow them. Now people manhandle processors with hundred volt static buildup and it all works. After seeing the issues a lot of certification standards ( CE, FCC ) include measures whose sole purpose is to ensure most infrastructure would simply reboot at worst when exposed to direct high voltage impulse.

>are not made to last
They're built to achieve a certain lifespan which is determined during the design phase. Want it to last longer? Spend more money during construction and upkeep. It's up to the owners and operators of ships, whether they're commercial or military, to calculate their ROI. American warships are typically designed to go 20-30 years at American operational tempos, which is actually pretty remarkable given the beating that these things take. They were hoping to get 50 years out of the Nimitz class, but it's tough to design out that far without running into problems that can't be predicted during the design phase. On the plus side, the lessons learned can be carried forward onto the next class, which is another reason not to build ships with too long of a lifespan. Remember that when Nimitz was being designed, the USN had experience with exactly one (1) nuclear carrier with a completely different propulsion plant, so they were going to be making up a lot of it as they went along.

The problem (well, one problem anyway) with the USN is that the upper management tends to keep ships going longer than they're designed for, which winds up getting expensive quickly.

OK, the Ford-class is advanced but in a shooting war with China how many could we pump out in a year? Probably not many more than we can currently produce. We simply don't have much spare shipbuilding capacity. How many of their inferior carriers could China build in a year? A lot more than us, because they have a massive shipbuilding sector. It doesn't mean much if our carriers are twice as good as China's if they can produce 3 times more of theirs.

>You mean like our shitty trade policy that is actively being reformed?

Thats the easy part. The hard part is actually restoring the production chains, which requires a full spectrum mental change in american society. As well as massive investments in the most basic stuff. And I think that is where the american dreams of reindustrialization will fail. It took the chinks 35 years to get where they are now.

>>64062676
>That can be prevented and/or repaired.

Yes, when they are built, by using steel with additives like chromium. But when they were built, nobody expected America to become deindustrialized to this degree. Its similar with american bridges and dams, which also were designed for a finite lifespan, so that they could be rebuilt over and over again, then 50 years later, the county that owns the bridge or the dam is on the verge of bankruptcy and the bridge/dam stays up until it falls down.

At this stage, the fate of USN is already sealed, by 2035 the federal debt will be so large that the federal government would be bankrupt if it had to pay market rate on the bonds it reissues when rolling over the debt. I predict a period of very high annual inflation (approaching 100%) in America circa 2035-2040.

This will generate widespread poverty, thereby killing domestic demand for anything not essential to survival, which in turn will kill any attempt to reindustrialize America. The export market? Blocked by foreign tariffs. The chinks are pushing America towards this fate by offering loans in dollars to thirdies, which the thirdies are to use to repay their dollar loans, and the chink dollar loan is then repaid in yuan. This hijacking of debt ridden thirdies is a small push towards dedollarization but the big push comes from Washington and its perpetual debt financed overspending and graft.

It is well known in classical economics that debasing the currency leads to a production collapse as investments shift from production to speculation.

>And what might this "full spectrum mental change" look like?

Some simple observations: American education is completely dysfunctional due to the belief in full spectrum equity. If you force american grade 1-12 students to do their absolutely best understanding the basics (such as mathemathics) you will find that there will be a clear racial divide among them, something that officially does not exist. Since that is not possible, the concept of equity will mean that the curriculum will have to be dumbed down until it is understood by an IQ 76 amerimutt, or xir is actively being discriminated against by invisible forces. When these kids enter technical college, they will have to start their education at a level comparable to grade 6-7 in competitior countries, and the vast majority will insta flunk out because they have no apititude for mathematics.

Given that gen Alpha is 80-85% colored you wont have many future american engineers to work with. 20 years from now the oldest gen Alphas will be in their early 30s and it will be painfully obvious that the bottom of America fell out long ago.

Some other takes: America needs a massively increased extra wide rail network (something like 3rd reich projected "breitbahn") for low cost internal resource extraction and shipping. America needs massively increased base load generating power. And a new power grid. And a changed higher education system that is funded by the government, not a debt trap created by the private sector. Going to college and getting a technical education should be a no cost venture.

Instead, what you will get is massive insourcing of pajeets and poaching of key engineers from Europe. This wont work out, neither short term or long term. And you wont get the fundamentals adressed, you will just get higher tariffs, and the money squandered somewhere.

To adress this, you need to completely break with the current american mental world view. That is the full spectrum mental change.

>if it had to pay market rate on the bonds it reissues when rolling over the debt. I predict a period of very high annual inflation (approaching 100%) in America circa 2035-2040.

I need to explain this further. The federal reserve will start monetizing the debt at low interest rates when foreigners become increasingly sceptic about parking their foreign reserves in too low interest rate dollar bonds. This will enable a print and spend fedgov orgy, and the 2nd order effect of this will be to make the dollar into a preferred currency for carry trade.

Carry trade involves loaning in a currency that is in a low interest zone (the japanese yen being a former favorite) and take the loan to buy bonds or whatever in a foreign high return economy. This will mean a torrent of freshly printed dollars floating out of America and buying up bonds and stocks and real estate. This will push down the value of the dollar, further boosting the return on carry trading.

This will make foreigners even less interested in holding dollar bonds. When they exchange their dollars for some other currency, the dollar will drop even more. This unleashed inflation will mean that american export products will be really cheap, but it will also mean that anything that can be dismantled and shipped abroad will be sold abroad. Used cars, trucks, power plants, airliners, inventory from bankrupt companies, food, coal, natural gas, oil - all exported. Meanwhile american personal incomes will increase 5-10% per year while annual inflation is 25-30%. Still alive boomers and gen X retirees will get hit really hard since they are on a fixed income. There will be enormous amounts of poor people, and self sustance farming will make a return.

The USN has a hard upper limit on the number of ships it can field. This limit is the maintenance facility limit, and these maintenance facilities have been subjected to deferred maintenance and upgrades for 25 years. That means that many ships are stuck in maintenance limbo. F.ex out of 50 USN SSNs, 20 are redlined in harbor waiting for repairs. The chinks have the ability to expand their maintenance facilities together with expanding their navy. USN has not, if anything, the USN is oversized relative its maintenance capability.

When you overstate your points simultaneously undermine them. For example the jews and libtards tried and failed to deindustrialize the US, if you use the same criteria to define "industrial" as the US, Germany, and Japan then the US has around twice as much industrial output as China which reports everything from construction to automotive maintenance as "industrial" and since 2022 hasn't reported raw numbers at all. The US actually has more industrial production than ever before, not as much as I would like and fewer employed due both to automation and "leaner and meaner" hiring practices. Similarly you overstate the numbers of shitskins.

Understand I want to beggar and deindustrialize the non-white world and make everything here. I want to murder billions of shitskins. But your mode of argumentation is fundumentally libtarded, you exaggerate and thus invalidate your own points when find the raw data does not match your claims. You make a call to arms based on fear and moral/social outrage rather than appealing to ambition, greed, and and a desire to exterminate entire nations to seize their land for the simple sake of taking it. Narratives are for pussies. Pro-social behavior is a disease of the weak. Embrace hate for hates own sake, kill for the sake of killing, take for the sake of taking.

The world is weak and easy prey if we find the political impetus to act.

No. Thats simply not true. The USN maintenance backlog on ships and facilities is huge and very costly to fix. This isnt going to be fixed in the next ten years. USN will still have 688s in service in 2050 because they have spent a decade or two in redline limbo and their reactors are still full of U235.

>>64076714
>then the US has around twice as much industrial output as China w

This is simply a boomer confabulation. The chinks built 2/3rds of all commercial ships in the world, the US builds 0.1%. The rest is mostly Japan and South Korea, two places well within range of chink missiles. The tiny european ship industry completely dwarfs the even tinier US shipbuilding industry, but that wont be enough to cover for USN and merchant ship losses in a major war with China.

Your masturbatory ideas are impossible to implement unless you adress fundamenta, which is that America is rapidly decaying and the decay is based on fundamental factors that amerimutts chose to ignore because it goes against their world view. Trump is not a solution, he is just another kind of grifter, and the end result of all this combined tariff sanction see-saw bullshit is that the rest of the world drops the US as a trading partner because its too risky to either export or import from America. The practical outcome of this is an increasingly rusty USN and long long delays in the production of new ships.

>This is simply a boomer confabulation
Yeah take word of the guys who suddenly said they overcounted the number of chinks by at least 200 million for decades but didn't revise down the GDP or alter it in anyway after they couldn't hide the discrepancies anymore. And remember concrete manufacture is a real industrial process and wasn't discounted, but it has limited utility in a modern war. Similarly all sorts of industrial production cannot be meaningfully converted towards war materiel and that goes for all parties. The issue was you parroted the same retarded "deindustrialized" rhetoric despite it not being the case and not being as applicable to modern warfare as you might think even discounting that fact that chinks lie with every word.

As for the shipyards in the US the issue isn't that there are no yards available but no active yards available. The infrastructure has been sitting in mothballs for decades, but if needed it could be reactivated. Just because there is a shortfall doesn't mean that political impetus to spend the money to address it exists. You are conflating two different things. They aren't going to train thousands of new hands and recommission the yards unless there is a sufficient perceived threat. The Chinks do have extensive ship building and it could be converted to military use but the US also has yards designed to produce naval vessels larger than the current hulls which are sitting around gathering dust so the discrepancy in a potential war scenario isn't as great as might be thought.

And finally Trump likes jews, I want all jews dead. Not a big fan.

>t America is rapidly decaying
Chinkland is falling to pieces even faster and they don't even have jews or darkies to blame for it.

Zero hits for birth rate or birth rates in their search engine. Your statistics does not match the real world nor do they match statistics from other sources. Total amount of euroamericans in 2017 was 133 million, and you claim there are 100 million rural cletus americans with a 2.7 birth rate. The truth is that those 133 million in 2017 now are 120 million in 2025, and that total US population is 380-400 million, meaning that they make up about 30-32% of the population, and their birth rates are in the shitter.

>The infrastructure has been sitting in mothballs for decades, but if needed it could be reactivated.

Do you know that most US steel foundries are from the rearnament period of 1940-1950? The chinks, gooks, euros etc use far more modern facilities with way higher capacity and cost effectiveness due to higher automation. What does this tell us? It tells us that Americans do not care about investing in industry, they only care about lowest cost possible, and they will run with their gear until it breaks down. Same applies to american metalworking industry, which still uses lathes from the 1940s and 1950s. 30 years ago I heard older guys in the steel industry joke about "automation to us is buying a CNC machine but to an american it is hiring a mexican". Today I understand what they mean.

Your "mothballed shipyard" (if it exists) is a decrepit wreck that was obsolescent when it was mothballed back in 1995. Anything useable was removed, and all thats left is a bunch of sheds and railway tracks.

>61% "white alone" and in the US 99.9% of self-identified whites had zero non-European admixture due to centuries of the one drop rule
That's 195 million at least, since the US survey tends to undercount rural white counties, in Jefferson Country PA for example the population discrepancy is at least 5,000 between country records and the survey. If you are wondering why that would happen probably a combination of deliberate undercounting since the Survey is how they allocate congressional districts and just plane lack of cooperation on the part of the locals. But lets go with the Survey numbers. So given that libtards haven't been breeding for decades now and originally the split was 50/50 back in the 1960s a claim of 100 million or more conservative whites is not unreasonable. The only way you can get the European American count of 133 is because many white Americans just consider themselves white and if they were pre-revolutionary stock they essentially have no ties to Europe and don't consider themselves distinct from it.

>can't use the GSS site
Others know about the GSS data
https://www.aei.org/articles/the-conservative-fertility-advantage/
Though their analysis vastly underestimates the difference because the GSS itself carves out "very conservative", "very liberal", "extremely conservative", ect into different categories which they didn't integrate into their analysis. And those categories are defined by the GSS using the same criteria as they did in 1927, they are descriptive rather than being prescriptive and relying on self-identification on the part of the respondents which is why the GSS is preferred. It's run by a bunch of Chicago School spergs.

>muh factory building are old
>somebody said something anecdotal
I've seen machine shops which have fully automated lathes running next to power presses from 1933. You can put new furnaces, machines, and ventilation into old buildings just as you can slap a new crane on an old drydock.

They(jews particularly but also xenophile libtards) deliberately bought controlling stocks in major steel corporations and then tanked them to first give Japan and later China a leg up as well as setting up trade policies which preference them. The libtards, cuckservatives, and europoors like yourself saw this and rather than looking up the raw data said "deindustrialization" in whatever context fit their narrative for the last 40 years. Conservatives complained about it without doing anything. Liberals basically said "get used to it" and deliberately tried to exacerbate it. However small town white elites saw an opportunity and created many small and medium sized shops to cater to the market. As previously stated these shops have everything from cutting edge equipment to endothermic gas generators from 1920. They also can't hire spics or nogs because they are too stupid to keep the margins up, even when retarded boomer owners aren't racist.

>and they will run with their gear until it breaks down
Yep absolutely, find old trucks/machines at an auction and cannibalize them. Then when you finally run out of components you buy a modern machine. This is actually why smaller firms have such high margins. They are also understaffed and automate the new shit. For the low end employees they mostly hire white former criminals since darkies can't do the job.

>The chinks... cost effectiveness due to higher automation

>That's 195 million at least, since the US survey tends to undercount rural white counties, in Jefferson Country PA for example the population discrepancy is at least 5,000 between country records and the survey.

America had a population of 195 million in 1965. Approx 85%, or 166 million of them were euro-americans, the rest negroes, coloreds and mystery meats. White american birth rates have been sub 2.1 since then and white immigration to America has been minimal, meaning that a total of 133 million remaining in 2017 is a perfectly acceptable number.

The people most likely to dodge the census are illegal immigrants, and the official US census population number of 2024 is 340 million americans, and add at least 10% illegals to that. Now we are at about 370 million americans, and the euroamerican population in 2024 should be about 120 million due to high average age (lots of boomers) dieoff. 120 / 370 = 32%.

85 % of the american population lives in large cities. All large cities are majority shitskin, meaning that America is majority shitskin. The tiny countryside population is meaningless compared to the cities. You claim there are 100 million countryside whites with a fertility rate of 2.7, there isn't. It would be very obvious in countryside schools.

In generation alpha, starting at 2013, about 80-85% of the newborns are shitskins. This will be very obvious in twenty years when the oldest alphas are in their early 30s and they turn America into a typical latin american country. About 20-22% of these alphas are fully or part negro too. By 2030 the negro or part negro faction of newborns will be 25%.

And what does this mean for USN? Well, for instance, I expect USN to delay delay and delay the production of new carriers, until they stop building them completely. Advanced ship classes like subs will also get the axe. USN will devolve to a frigate navy that spends most of its time in port like latin american navies. Brazil used to have carriers.

>I already said Newport News is an example its been running while 80% of it is shuttered. Just rip out shit out, put in new shit.

I checked using google maps satellite view. The only drydock that is empty is #3, a small drydock. There are two unused slipways north of #3 that can be used to build 2000-3000 ton sized vessels. These were probably used for DDs back in the 40s and 50s. There was also a smaller floating drydock not in use. Everything else was in use.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Huntington+Beach/@36.9937592,-76.4453116,1455m/

Here, you do it too. Show me on the satellite view where the unused infrastructure is. I am sure that I missed something.

I dont see the fedgov ordering the construction of a lot of new fuckhuge drydocks. Its not something inconspicious. I see nothing happening at all.

>Yep absolutely, find old trucks/machines at an auction and cannibalize them. Then when you finally run out of components you buy a modern machine. This is actually why smaller firms have such high margins. They are also understaffed and automate the new shit.

Thats fantastic if you are a small shop that does small scale production and speciality builds for repair of ancient legacy hardware, but it wont cut it if you are a big company doing mass production. If anything, automation is something that America should be superheavy invested in, because automation is the only way to keep american mass manufacturing relevant in the 21 century because the total lack of engineering talent among americans due to the depleted american genetic capital.

Instead, its euros and asians who are #1 at automation. I know precisely what kind of business you speak of, f.ex there is this american guy on ebay who makes and sells bike spokes (made from high quality euro steel).

>For the low end employees they mostly hire white former criminals since darkies can't do the job.

Yikes talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. I've dealt with former white criminal employees, they are limited people that requires constant micromanaging because they are unreliable and lazy. And they infight, of course. Again, America should be #1 at automation because of your shit population, but you aren't because America does not have an engineering culture, it has a hustler, scammer and fixer culture. The chinks are going to challenge you to a naval arms race and you will not be able to respond. The american leadership does not understand it, because they all are liberal art morons. Even your military leadership.

Lets define "modern SSNs" as something equivalent to a early 90s block LA class. The Chinks have perhaps 3 SSNs up to that standard if we are being generous to the most recent iterations of the Shang class compared to the 50 the US possesses. Their carriers appear to be focused almost entirely on regional anti-sub patrol of the south china sea. Their fleet displacement is likewise focused almost entirely reactive mobile defense. They aren't sallying forth into the open sea and then engaging in a fighting retreat like the Soviets planned from the 70s onward. It's more equivalent to the monitor doctrine or French "new school" from the 1890s. The former worked the latter did not. They haven't replicated "coastal defense battleship" doctrine yet with a unit which has lower sustainment than an enemy counterpart but comparable capabilities for lower displacement. I assume that would be their ultimate dream when it comes to carriers as they seem to have zero interest in nuclear units necessary for true fleet actions.

I'm just not seeing their build up as a prelude to challenging the US in blue water operations, none of their leaked doctrine or existing units are suitable besides a few large destroyers which ironically seem to be replicating some of the protected cruiser doctrine of the 19th century as well in that they are meant to suppress inferior forces in colonial areas rather than contest with peer opponents. And even they were claimed to possess a worrying lack of internal subdivision.

There hasn't been a significant reduction in SSN or Carrier production, rather Destroyers and Frigates have actually gotten the short end.

Your demographic projects don't fit the available data, and seem to be extrapolated from estimations drawn 60 years ago which never panned out because the mudmen are effectively sterilized by modernity the instant they are imported.

>85 % of the American population lives in large cities.
Not actually true they live in "urban zones" and its 83%. Since you are a euro you don't understand how the government in the US manipulates data for ideological purposes and deliberately inflates the estimate of the "urban" population so as to justify allocating resources to the actual urban non-whites. The Department of the Interior defines every town with more than 4,000 inhabitants as "urban" likewise all state highways between actual urban areas are defined as "urban corridors" thus inflating the urban population or rhetorical purposes.

You're using round about math to claim that 85% of births were non-white in 2013 and the population of whites in 2020 was around below 130 million even when the 2020 US Survey which preferences against whites and actually does account for estimates of in their own words "undocumented" mudmen estimated that there was around 200 million "white alone" residents. If you are going to extrapolate the illegal shitskins you don't simultaneously claim they aren't being surveyed then conversely account for those 60 million as a component of the 325 total population estimate then rather than an additional population which would increase the estimated total rather than decreasing its component parts.

I want a genocidal civil war; if you hate darkies you are preaching to choir I just think your model is non-predictive shit.

>The american leadership does not understand it, because they all are liberal art morons. Even your military leadership.
The libtards and jews view right wing whites as an existential threat which plots their total extermination followed by a genocidal campaign of conquest which will murder half the world. They aren't wrong but they are just operating on a presumption and never supply data to support that claim, I haven't seen and statistical analysis of what I hear all thew white guys in my area(ie everybody) say.

>even when the 2020 US Survey which preferences against whites and actually does account for estimates of in their own words "undocumented" mudmen estimated that there was around 200 million "white alone" residents.

Ah about that, the US census does not count the number of white americans. It counts the number of "caucasians". A caucasian is someone who isnt a negro, asian, feather indian or pacific islander. This means that all the mystery meats, arabs, jews, turks, gypsies, etc in America gets counted as "caucasians". The census then use the false equvialence of "caucasian = white" to claim that there are 200 million whites in America.

You cant take population numbers out of nothing, you have to correlate them with the historical population. There is simply no possible historical source for your claims of 100 million rural whites unless they fell down from the sky.

You can see the american population distribution in 3d here https://www.homearea.com/featured/3d-population-density/#00

All those high blocks are colored majority cities.

I appreciate your desire to discuss economics but I was discussing ships. With a sufficiently aggressive corrosion control program, hulls last almost indefinitely, no fancy materials required. Remove the rust, keep up on the paint, and make sure that your sailors donโ€™t paint over the zincs. A bonus to using non fancy steels is that if a section rusts out, you remove it and weld in a new patch without too much drama.

Again, itโ€™s not the hulls that are expensive to maintain. If you spent less time reading economic blogs and more time reading ship repair blogs (or, god forbid, you worked in that industry) you wouldnโ€™t be carping on about it, and youโ€™d know where the real maintenance headaches are. Youโ€™d also know why replacement every couple of decades is basically a necessity, even if the hull is sound.

You may now return to your Ted talk about Chinese dominance.

This thread is about strategic conditions, not about tactical weapons. Hypersonics are irrelevant once you zoom out enough. Unbuilt ships cannot be sunk by anything.

The most common reason older commercial ships sink is because their hull pipings are completely rusted trough and then break during heavy seas or even in port. This happens because you cannot rust protect the inside of a seawater pipe with paint. This sinks multiple ships every year. A recent high profile case was the sinking of El Faro, which most likely sunk because loose cargo crushed a rusted trough seawater pipe during the storm. When the coast guard inspected El Faros sister ship, she was redlined immediately because she was a floating wreck. The shipping line that owned El Faro had planned to reassign her to the California-Alaska route, which would certainly have had her sunk like her sister ship.

And this is the point of using "fancy steels" instead of rock bottom basic bitch carbon steel. The ship doesnt need to have all its pipes ripped out and replaced every 15-20th year. And it does not need to have humongous amounts of rust removed in the mid life rebuild. And it can soldier on for far longer than 50 years with upgraded electronics. This is particulary important for a country that lacks ship building facilities.

And about that, the lack of ship repair facilities, that is, very large drydocks, means that in case of war damaged ships will pile up in harbors waiting for repair. Considering the tech level of a drydock (its just an on shore cofferdam, literally medieval technology) its surprising that land has not been set aside and dug out.
