In spite of fielding tanks that were supposed to have the latest and greatest "Relikt" ERA, most of the ERA cassettes have been filled with old Contact 1 and 2 explosives because they had loads of it lying around and hardly any of the new shit
Same reason they use old 125mm "Mango" shells in tanks, and BMPs have old 30mm APDS from the end of the Soviet Union instead all any of the new shit they claim to have developed since the 90s that never went in to mass production

BMPs mostly use full caliber 3UBR6 AP actually, 3UBR8 APDS is pretty rare and I have read that only Marine units use it.

Ukrainians captured some Svinets 2 and they showed the production line actually producing the perpetrators (that isn't really complex).
The problem is only a few tanks can use it and it comes with trade offs because the autoloader isn't fully compatible and it can't fit them like normal Mango rounds.

What? We're talking about comparison between Nizh and Relikt, any ERA can defeat basic RPG but we're not talking about that. Nizh works against Sabot rounds, that anon said Relikt is comparable to Nizh but Relikt can't do that

I'm aware that 3BM59/60 can't be loaded next to each other in the carousel due to lack of space, but are you sure that less modern tanks can't use them due to the autoloader needing upgrades? This is the first time I've heard of this even after reading through the T-80BVM and T-90M manuals that got leaked by the ukies after finding some in captured puccian tanks. So far I have yet to find anything about the autoloader getting upgrades to allow more advanced APFSDS rounds, although upgrades were made for gun-launched ATGMs and programable shells that seemingly went nowhere.

Any tank with a 2A46M gun can use it, the older 125 can't withstand the higher chamber pressure to achieve +20 muzzle energy (12MJ vs 10MJ).
It's kinda like the Rh 120 L/55, some rounds for the L/55 can't be fired by some old L/44 due to chamber pressure.
