MRAPs are still in use, they're just too big and heavy for some roles. The ISV can fit in the back of a chinook for example, you're never getting a JLTV in there even with the wheels off.

Oh boy, if only that wasn't the US Army's only type of vehicle! Wait, what's that say? We have 19,000 JLTVs in service and that OP is retard? Surely not!

OP doesn't even have to say what he is referring to yet you all automatically think he is talking about armor

no doubt that was the explanation for Hummers in Iraq, only for them to have to get hillbilly armor
other militaries are able to do greater specialisation with intermediate and medium weight, they have heavy motorised/light mechanised in 4x4/6x6 MRAP trucks and LAV APCs, in between light and armored forces
the US Army was reluctant to get MRAP trucks in Iraq despite pick related and had to be dragged kicking and screaming to use the Stryker (which has now been whittled down to just 6 active duty brigades)

The ISV is actually intended as a front line vehicle. Soldiers' combat loads have been unreasonably high for decades and they've grown even more recently. The idea of the ISV is that soldiers can dump all of their sustainment gear and some spare ammo and shit on it to keep them mobile.

It's the AI controlled robot pack mule, except it's human controlled and has wheels instead of legs because those things actually work.

Nice MRAP, you don't need 19,000 of them though. Send them to Ukraine.

They don't need 19,000 of them, better to send them some tomahawks and see russians died in deep of their country

It's called a false-flag troll to get (you)s much like how this thread is a slide thread to shit on the US military. Probably made by the same people who make the very implessive threads about the wonders of the chinese PLA.
