The only parts of your brain you don't use consciously are still doing things, just unconsciously.

So you'd be able to like, consciously control your heart rate and stuff like that. There's evidence to suggest a closer link between the part of your brain that unconsciously handles balance and the part that does most of your internal figuring would make you much faster at doing math, but that's about it.

Also, it took me a second watch to realize he immediately batted the nade away - I thought this was going to be another episode of "Russian scrambles on top of grenade/drone because they crave death".
