Many seething Australians on /k/ have already been sounding the alarm since the US decided to sell the F-35 to Singapore as they believe it compromises Australia's air defense to China. While the US can afford to replace the F-35 with something new in 20 years Australians are going to be stuck with them for at least 50.

Let me start by saying I'm actually fairly pissed about this. Singapore isn't a trusted ally that we know is going to defend F-35 design secrets and they're way too close to China's sphere of influence.

In all seriousness, perhaps we could protest our concerns to the American military. American Anons can protest in DC, or in the downtown of their city, or by their closest military base or recruiting station. At the same time, the rest of us can begin the social media campaign to prevent these sales. The PLA may already have stolen the F-35's secrets, but we won't just let the military hand them over 12 fucking planes. If enough of us protest and if we are loud enough, they will hear, and at the very least, other Americans will hear. More people must know of the Chinese menace.

What would probably work to stop delivery would be to tweet at Trump, Hegseth, Musk, MGT ect. that Singapore is taking delivery in 2026. The bad PR might make them cancel as it's only 12 planes and not a lot of money.

I remember seeing this exact same post over a year ago.

Anyway, NATO will probably be in a shooting war with China by 2026, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Singapore is an American ally not a Chinese ally. It doesn't matter if the population is Han Chinese, so is the American Chinese population and the Taiwanese Chinese population and they all hate Communist China.

Fellow ausfag here, our issues in equipment itself is only a part of the issue, and a small one at that. Even if we didn't sell/donate ANYTHING to ukraine, and actually ramped up production and procurement to half double of what we have now, the ADF simply doesn't have the numbers of both men and equipment to actually defend australia. Lets say we're attacked in the best possible position, where EVERYTHING is ready to go, every tank, LAV, car, gun and man, we still could only reliably defend 3-4 cities in the event of invasion from say, china. Australia's military has been suffering from numerous issues over the past 30 years, but the biggest one is simply it's too small. WA and NT would be abandoned to the wolves basically and SA would likely only retain a small garrison while most of the assets on the east coast stay where they are to defend those more important coastal and production cities. The situation is 9 kinds of screwby and nothing is being done about it, or ever will be.

Singapore will bend over for China the moment they ask. I am still surprised at how many people are unaware that the ethnic Han Chinese Singapore people have 100% loyalty to China. Singaporeans are Chinese in the end. They'll co-operate with the CCP if given a better offer. That's Chinese for you, switching morals based on opportunity.

Singapore is a Chinese soft asset. This has been talked about many times. Because their government and businesses are dominated by Han Chinese, the PRC gets close to them. China recruits from their diaspora, even those who fled the CCP in the first place. Money talks and that also creates bonds between PRC officials and businessman with ethnic Chinese businessman elsewhere. The PRC claims to be the guardian of Han Chinese people in general. That's why ethnic Chinese are always vulnerable to collusion. Most of the Triads got hijacked by CCP agents too and became a PRC spy, trafficking and money-laundering network.

Not to mention the entire country was built and financed with CCP resources. If a foreigner is born in Singapore the Singapore govt will immediately grant 3 citizenships to mainland Chinese to maintain the race balance. The big 4 families that built Singapore were all CCP members. Singapore has close ties to China and is a major conduit for its regional power projection.

Everyone in SEA should build nukes including Taiwan. The only way to deter the Chinese from taking what they want is to be able to obliterate them in return. The Chinese don't care about diplomacy, they care about getting their little nutsacks stomped when they try military action against a weaker nation.

They get told to go back to China almost weekly, and that will ramp up as America's rivalry with China deepens.
>Taiwanese Chinese population
Taiwanese boomers and Taiwanese conservatives are either pro-China or neutral. 50% of all Taiwanese working outside of Taiwan work in China. The KMT, the political party formed by the nationalists who lost the civil war, have close ties with the CCP.

For your uneducated ass- US has identified Malaysia as next sales target for its F-35. According to Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II Potential Market 2007-2030 report, states that Malaysia's need to have the F-35 is medium/high and increasing with the possibility that Malaysia will expand its capabilities due to increasing threats in the region. Internal study by Lockheed Martin on Malaysia fleet requirements for F-35 is classified by the company as 48 a/c. There are rumors that Malaysia has already been offered the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. The signs may be on:
>Chief of Air Force's visit to the US recently
>strong news linking the Su-57 to Malaysia.

Malaysia is looking for 2 squadron of MRCA to replace its Su-30MKM and F/A-18D within 2035-2040 timeframe. 18 aircraft will be purchased in the MRCA Program with candidates focused on the US-made F-35, Russian-made Sukhoi SU-57, South Korean-made KF-21 Boramae, Chinese-made Shenyang J-35 and Turkish-made KAAN

For the new MRCA procurement plan, Malaysia may get SU-57 fighter jets from Russia and KF-21 from South Korea or even KAAN from Turkey because they have already offered it to Malaysia.

Russia has already offered the SU57 package along with the S400 to Malaysia. The US gives too many conditions and no freedom to repair or upgrade the aircraft made in the United States. Most recently, Malaysia has held discussions with the Russian authorities to obtain the Mig-35 as well as the 5th generation Sukhoi Su-57 aircraft because Russia guarantees technology exchange and aircraft upgrades in the future.

There were Chinese Americans in the 1800's, and Chinese Americans who came here as refugees from Hong Kong and Taiwan who hate the CCP.
The ones who need to go home are the spies and to a much lesser extent the economic migrants.

Contrary to what people say, Malaysia bought russian and american aircraft out of necessity, not simply because of shit and giggles. For years malaysia had been denied access to more modern aircraft because the US is playing favorites with singapore, philippines and thailand. At one point they just said "fuck this" and went to the russian instead. America putting both Indonesia and Pakistan under military sanction really spooked Malaysian decisionmaker hence why they're willing to buy russian made equipment which is generally cheaper and russia is willing to accept almost anything as payment.

>Malaysia wanted more F/A-18
>Malaysia looking for second hand USN/USMC F/A-18
>Uncle Sam said no. Instead offered up F/A-18F
>Malaysia tempted to buy F/A-18F but didn't want to surrender their existing F/A-18D as part of buyback option
>Deal went dead
>Suddenly US came back and "hinted" that they may export F-35 for Malaysia if they could permanently stationed their F-15/F-16 in Malaysia because reasons.
>Malaysia said "take that F-35 of yours and shove it up your ass" subtly

Til now American suffering loses because Malaysian opened the market gate for Russian and European arms sales on SE Asia and destroying the American arms sales monopoly.

Yeah. Seethe probably escalated because Singapore's tariffs are only 10% while Malaysia had 24%. Meaning manufacturing is moving from Malaysia to Singapore or they have to ship to Singapore first before shipping to America. The seethe is relentless.
