TLDR:

>instead of fleeing, they set up an ambush for the husband

I don't think there is anything ethically wrong with him opening fire outside the window at the fags for being outside, but legally you are way better off just calling the cops and setting up a defensive position on the stars or something and waiting for the cops to show up than to actively go looking for the fuckers, especially when you know they are there via camera
