FPV drones kill machine gunners two. It's very difficult to maintain hard defenses against FPV spam. These defenses are hit by drones and suffer massive attrition rates. Drones force defense to disperse and minimize too, also build deep shelters that good against drones but don't provide good fighting positions with good sectors of fire to defend against assaults.
So assaulting bikes don't meet much of old-school machine gun nests on their way. It's just drones, drones, drones from both sides.

The US dictates the reality of war.
