Jarvis Customs does coating for 150 dollars. Used to be 125 dollars. Gunbroker you can get px4 parts kits (everything but the frame) for sub 200 dollars, 9mm compact slides might go for a little more.

They do DLC, CrN. This is a PX4 slide with CrN coating. The barrel is NP3’d from Langdon. You have to strip and clean the slide yourself, they will do the final prep but ask for a diassembled slide.

Hey /hg/ I want a higher quality pistola and I've got a budget of about $2,500. What do I get?

I've been looking at everything from the Langdon Tactical VP9A1 to the Dan Wesson DWX, hell I've even considered a Platypus or an Archon Type B.

How OEM should I keep my Glock? I just bought an extended slide stop. I'm kind new to Glocks, but other than that should I be changing much else? I was thinking of buying an extended magazine release (maybe), but I'm not sure if thats worth bothering with and I'd rather not break something.

i just got a glock 43 a few months back, i've put a couple hundred rounds through it so it should be relatively broken in, but it continues to have an odd problem where after firing, the slide stops just short of completely forward until the trigger resets. it seems to be locked in battery, and i haven't had any malfunctions, but it is odd.

For the price of the polymer framed you could get a tanfoglio with a 9x25 barrel. It will look like the field pistol if you squint your eyes and you'll have enough money left to buy some loading equipment.
Or for the price of a field pistol you could have a gunsmith make you two custom 2011s in 9x25.
I still think it's a cool pistol but I could never justify the price.

I forgot to post that with the stock guide rod I still have early lock back with my Dan Wesson 10mm. I double checked that the rounds are not hitting the slide stop, so the slide stop is jostling upwards and catching the slide notch.

I read about how the barrel link rides on the slide stop, so the barrel is directly imparting force on it maybe. I need to probably dimple the plunger/detent on the slide stop to fix it.

I love my little 1910 but have an issue
The frame and slide interface smoothly up until I put the bushing on, then it feels like I'm racking a slide full of grit.
My thinking is that maybe the bushing is slightly oversized or has burrs that I can't visibly see so I was going to polish it. Any other ideas? Maybe spring rubbing against the slide?

You really should. It's entirely obsolete given the worst in class size to capacity ratio. These two pistols have the same capacity, it's pathetic. The pricetag is a kick in the teeth considering that even the fucking $250 taurus gx4 has a better trigger, grip texture, and size to capacity ratio.

The CSX I shot had very stiff controls and a pretty shitty trigger, especially when compared to the Shield plus. I'd try finger fucking the CSXe and og CSX side by side at a shop and see if there is improvement worth the added cost.
